In 1966 my parents moved to a location directly across the inter coastal from the campground location. I am in favor of keeping the campground. To me, this is wealth deal. Follow the money. Now that the rich are dug in they can try to push the rest of us aside. After all the bells and whistles (studies) it's all about the money-not the boaters, not the picnic tables-it's all about the wealth around Midnight Pass. Do the island people complain about the resturaunts? No!! Do those that visit the campground tolerate overnight noise? NO, NO. Fix the place up and continue to let people enjoy the area. I live in Ocala but consider myself a native from the Sarasota area. I am sure some of the money(6+million) paid for the campground came from state funds or sales taxes I have paid out in the Sarasota area. artlooker@aol.com |

When I called to make our annual reservation I was very saddened to hear that this beautiful place might not always be with us. Please preserve our park! |
