The new shopping center under construction in North Morgan Hill is planned as 66+ acres of retail space. The current market in the area is serviced by large corporate food markets that do not provide sufficient diversity in specialized food products. Trader Joe's established its reputation as a provider of such specialized foods and is a desirable shopping experience. Currently, the greater than 20 mile drive to the closest location provides sufficient barrier to most local residence. As experienced in other loacations, Trader Joe's brings collateral business to its location and is percieved as a minor anchor. My signature of this petition is to serve as evidence of intent to patron Trader Joe's in Morgan Hill.
