Martin King |
Effie W. Jefferson | We need every possible avenue for our children to exercise for healthier bodies, practice team spirit and social skills. Tennis is one of the means to help this happen and it is a sport for life.

Cole King | Commissioners should also consider increasing the % contributed from the recreation budget as the community uses the courts year-round. Also, can we not get by with 6 courts in lieu of 8?

Anissa Vines | The tennis courts are not safe. Given the rising rates of obesity among children and adults, physical activity such as tennis needs to be encouraged.
Stacy Lamb |
James G. Northrup | The courts at Orange County High in Hillsborough are really bad.

Linda Maultsby | Orange County has a fantastic resource available in Jason Zoladz and the work he is doing through Orange Tennis. It would be a wonderful contribution to the residents of the county to support the availability of tennis!

| 25 | Raj Desai | I live in Orange County and strongly support the tennis programs in the community and schools, including that of Chapel Hill Carrboro Schools.
Tennis is a sport that does not need a big team or big expense. It keeps kids and parents alike active and free of bad distractions like TV or drugs. We should be doing all that we can to encourage tennis in orange county and part of that commitment is to maintain adequate facilities. Look at Greensboro and Burlington and Winston-salem....these towns are smaller and have lower budgets than orange county but you should see their facilities and commitment to sport like Tennis. Please fund orange county public tennis courts and their repairs. Thank you! |

Chris Larsen | The court renovations are long overdue, particularly given the large number of people now using the courts. Frankly, it's embarrassing at this point. Please get this done.
Mark R Schulz | I concur that increasing and improving recreational tennis opportunities can only help in the effort to reduce the prevalence of overweight and obesity in our county.
Donna Davis | Renovations are greatly needed.
J. Malone Rosemond | Please consider this proposal. Having played tennis for the last 37 years, I can say that these courts are the worst I have ever played on. The lines are non-existent, there are crevices (not cracks) on each court with weeds growing through them. I have turned my ankle more than once due to the uneveness of the courts. They are in desparate need of attention.
Sharon Hebert | I was a recent visitor to the courts and could not believe the state of disrepair on all of them. Please approve the funding needed to complete the necessary renovations so that they can be enjoyed safely by all.

Nicky C Walker | As a former tennis coach at OHS it saddens me to see the current condition of the tennis courts. The kids and people of Orange County deserve better. What the county is also allowing is the possibility of a lawsuit if there is a bad fall due to shoddy court conditions. These courts should be repaired to prevent injury or a lawsuit toward Orange County
Patti Fox | Having safe facilities for any high school sport or for recreational play is necessity .Youth and adults in Orange County have shown they support tennis and want to play tennis which has provided opportunities for kids and adults to be active and have fun together. All communities need outlets to do this. Let's show our support for their desire to play and help advocate for a long overdue renovation!
Selene R. Schmittling | The tennis courts at Orange High School provide (through the tireless efforts of Jason Zoladz) a wonderful place for the entire family to socialize and learn tennis. Improving the courts is a wonderful way to support family activities in Orange County.
Kay Singer |
Lynise DeVance |
Brett Graham | Get these courts redone for use for the residents of Orange county and especially Hillsborough, NC.
