Taxi Rate Increase for Wilmington NC

There is a Gas crisis and with the current taxi rates in Wilmington, N.C. the drivers are suffering. Drivers on any day can be found trying to survive with less money coming into there pockets allot of drivers have left driving to keep there heads but a more in croaking debt. Many of the smaller companies have had to band together to survive this serious crisis. So we the Taxi drivers are banding together to help save our jobs and families. All we ask is a rate increase from $1.40 pick-up charge and $1.80 per mile to the National average of $2.00 pick-up and $2.40 per mile. We are hoping to send this petition in by the 16th of November 2005. Thank you for your concern.
