Target Zero to Thrive

295 Signatures Goal: 1,000

If successful treatment for cancer proceeds with the goal of removing every cancerous cell—to achieve complete remission, why do we consider treatment for depression or bipolar disorder to be successful when symptoms persist?

The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance (DBSA) challenges mental health care professionals, researchers, and individuals living with or affected by mood disorders to raise treatment goals to complete remission -- to zero symptoms. Please show your support by signing this petition and joining the Target Zero to Thrive campaign.

I'm not going to be able to sugar coat this to much. Someone I love suffers from this disorder and to think we don't have the same goals as any other delbilatating illness is ludscris to me. Why because one understands cancer will kill so we have to 100% recovery goals but because we don't have the same level of understanding we decide, "oh well, 33%, 40%
