| 570 | Kennive | Kwok | UK | I feel deeply sorry for Mi Gao Huang Chen & Eileen Jia! Sometimes we chinese feel completely helpless as we live in this country, we were judged by the colour of our skin as size before the people got to know us. |

| 573 | Ed | Ling | UK | |
| 574 | jean | ling | UK | Thisis not the first time that Chinese small traders were attacked, harrassed,
severely assaulted and killed unprovoked. Because Chinese people normally do not make protests and noises like other ethnic groups Police authority have ignored the seriousness of their pleas for help as evidence in most of the cases. That lack of adequate action from the Police might have encouraged the perpetrators repeatedly harrassing, assaulting and even killing the victim(s)who are there to make a honest living.
Furthermore, the Police will always procecute the Chinese victim's family trying to save the life of their love one and themselves against violence and grave body harm.
The Police authority and indirectly the law have not been fair to those Chinese victims. of |

| 580 | Eleanor | Akers | ES | I am not sure that this is racism, just stupid unjust laws. I think you should work on changing the law so that this never happens to anyone. Male, female, black, white or purple. I am so soorry this has happened to Mrs Jia. |
| 581 | Tony | Brown | UK | |
| 582 | CHOY | CHEAM | UK | I am disheartened at our move to being a more diverse society. I feel it is these kind of news that make me, as a Chinese woman, question the type of example we give to our children. That the next time I see someone mock Chinese faces at me, should I be feel so wrong for questioning their environment, and when I say that adults & families play a big role also.
I view those who find humour in such ways as sad & narrow minded, and they reflect the ignorance that still manifests in today's society. It is those who laugh and continue the distribution of such actions that affirms my opinion when I say no matter how hard we may try to overcome race related stereotypes, there is still a long way to go.
My upset is beyond words.

| 587 | Kerry | Chu | UK | All members of the public should be treated equally, irrespective of race, gender, social class etc. Hope we see more of this, and then may we have some confidence in the laws and the police. |

| 595 | Sara | Callaway | | Women of Colour in the Global Strike support the campaign for justice for Ms Eileen Jia. We are seeing an increase in racist attacks especially against women of colour. Often the attacks are ignored of the victim is treated as if she is somehow responsible for the attack. Please let us know how we can support, and please convey our solidarity to Ms Jia.
