We take seriously the recent allegations against certain employees and students of the University of Colorado (CU). At the same time, we decry the sensationalist media coverage around these events, and the irresponsible rush to judgement urged by some. We support the stated intention of the CU Adminsistration, Regents and Independent Commission to undertake a careful review of the facts, and await their considered judgements. We would urge that any subsequent measures taken are proportionate and just, and not responsive to media-inspired hysteria.
