| 1901 | Robert H Wellington | Reade is a first class young man who has handled the Duke Lacrosse Travesty with class and a maturity beyond his years. Likewise his family has been a pillar of light throughout this sad affair. |
| 1902 | Jason B. Wilson | Innocent. Plain and simple! |
| 1903 | Anonymous | to - "1904 Kevin" Kevin, congratulations, that is your 4th mistake. It is in fact, completely different, lest you doubt it, check an online dictionary, and just because you have a problem with someone ELSE writing a parody in a private email to his friends, does not give you any right or insight into being able to judge someone else. I am sure we could find someone out of 45 people you know, who has made a tasteless joke in private...yet nobody is judging you for that. You should grow up. I would say that you could find many people on this list of nearly 2000 people who would have no problem letting their daughters near Reade based on their numerous statements of support. More to the point, there are in fact two names on this list, that of Reade's girlfriend and her mother, who certainly see no problem with her being near Reade. Also, many of the women who have signed this petitions know him well as Duke students and family friends and have signed this petition in AFFIRMATION of its text, which you have obviously not read, or have read and not been able to comprehend.
As for Reade being "entitled", that hardly describes a young man who earned a scholarship both on the field of play and in the classroom to Duke, and then maintained his status on the schools honor roll. Stay off this petition list since you do not support it, and cannot even come up with a viable truth based arguement for your insults.
and to signatory #s
1906 "Robert Chambers"
1907 "Richard Ramirez"
you both are incredibly clever in comparing an innocent young man to two convicted murderers.
This is really a feather in both of your caps... It must be quite an achievement for both of you and a real zenith of humor in what will undoubtedly be your long careers in cyber antagonism. Well done, really.
now go away idiots. |
| 1904 | Todd Ulrich | This whole thing is ridiculous. Justice will be served to the truly guilty, I firmly believe that. God Bless the Seligmann Family. |
| 1905 | Stephanie Good | It won't be long now. Nifong is out of the picture and the evidence is "crystal" clear! You and Collin and David will be exonerated. Bless you all! |
| 1906 | Brian McMahon | Hes an awesome kid and deserves only the best |
| 1907 | Jared Mueller | |
| 1908 | Anonymous | May justice FINALLY be done! |
| 1909 | Scot Foley | Best wishes and good luck to Reade (and to Colin and David too) and his family. This nightmare will be over soon and Reade will be back in the classroom and on the lacrosse field next year. |

| 1916 | Beth Brewer | Hard to believe it's been over a year and these young men are still charged. I hope the families are ready to come out swinging when these false charges are finally dropped.
Love to Reade, Collin and Dave (and their families). |
| 1917 | Liz Scott | I don't know him personally, but I believe he (and the entire team) have been railroaded & demonized unfairly by a corrupt DA & corrupt professors & "journalists" with an axe to grind. |

Justice will finaly be served, but not before putting these innocent kids and their families through the ringer!
LET THE CIVIL SUITS BEGIN!!! |
| 1923 | Anonymous | Hope you guys take this to the highest level...there is no justice in the system. this will haunt you the rest of your lives..... |

| 1926 | Kelly fuller | I just watched the news conference and i am so happy to see the three of you have been vindicated! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. |
| 1927 | Denise Gaur | I saw Reade Speak today on our local NYC news live from the press conference in NC. I am absolutely impressed by his poise and authenticity. It was refreshing to see a young man raised here in NJ which is my adopted state, to have the same integrity as what was known to me in my home state of WI. And to know that the corrupt will not prevail in this case. Way to go to his entire defense team. Do NOT let this ruin your esteem in the future...hold your head high! Be proud you were able to expose those who slandered you and I hope you have started a look into americas justice system. As you said innocent until proven guilty! As far as a racial thing there is such a thing as reverse racism towards whites....I know as I am white, however my husband happens to be of east Indian origin.
Within his race there is definitely stereo typing of me simply because I am white. Unfortunately simply because we are white we may be viewed as "the Oppressor" due to there own issues. Don't let it get you down....hang in there, you've got alot to be proud of, and tons of potential. This may be a blessing in disguise as it has helped all of you bond closer to those who love you and to know those who are true to you-that is something to be cherished! Take Care... |
| 1928 | Terri Strickland | You were amazing this afternoon during the Press Conference in Raleigh NC. I thank God that all charges have been dropped for you guys. Hold your head high Reade and know that you have done nothing wrong. Best of luck in the future, whatever you choose to do. Love you. |
| 1929 | Amber | I am so excited for you. Congrats on the charges being dropped. |
| 1930 | Calvin Reuter | Hi,
I'm one without the resources to have a proper defense and got railroaded by an overzealous and politically motivated DA. I have wanted to write a book about the the justice system. If you ahve the resources and interest, please consider joining me.
Thanks,
Cal Reuter |
| 1931 | Andy | I believe that from an athletes point, and a person of relative age that the best thing for him to do is to sue Duke University, other news medias, and the Durham D.A. Not for monitary purposes but for the fact that this will show the people as Mr. Seligmann said on tonights CBS Evening News(4/11/2007) need to be held accountable. |
| 1932 | andrew flatley | finally declared inncoent. reade is one of the most honest people i know and as all the evidence attests to, reade is innoncent. |
| 1933 | Anonymous | Reade, you are one class act. I was so proud of you today at the press conference. Onward and upward. And tell Evans the whole country was not vs. you all---"socr moms" all over this country recognized you 3 as the good people we have all tried to raise. |
| 1934 | Bella | Congratulations from CA! While we don't know you personally, we have been hoping and praying that this day would come for you, your family, and the other accused. While I know this doesn't erase what has happened to you, I applaud the class and courage you have shown. All of those who spoke out against you could stand to learn a thing or two from you and your fellow teammates. |

| 1936 | Anonymous | Reade, I always knew you were innocent, I'm happy that you have now been exonerated. I appreciate what you said at the news conference yesterday. This is just a suggestion, but I hope you and the other players will think about devoting some time to clearing the names of other innocent people who have been falsely accused and ended up in jail because they did not have the resources you guys had. Perhaps after this experience you might want to think about going to law school to prevent other innocent people from being falsely accused. |
| 1937 | Riku Hirn | I have been following your case closely, from Finland, since the last spring. I haven't taken a stand for either side. But what you said in the press conference proved what kind of man you are and touched me deeply. You are a GREAT MAN with GREAT WORDS. You had every right to be bitter and angry. To talk about how your and your familys life has been distroyed. With those words you gave me faith for humanity. You saw something in the case that was not just about you and your teammates and the injustice. Great men can see beyond themselves. I wish you great future! |
| 1938 | David Chapa | Normally I love to see guys like Reade twist in the wind however this is just wrong. I guess I'll never know Reade but I'm happy to hear he was finally exonerated of any and all wrong doing. |
| 1939 | Duke07 Mom | Reade, Collin, and Dave:
Last spring I wrote the following note to this petition:
"Dear Reade, Collin, and David: I personally do not know any one of you. However, in the face of the events that have been rolling up since March 13, I have been worrying about you a great deal. Please know that you are not alone in this ordeal. As a Duke parent,I believe in you,I trust you,and please know that I am very proud of you the way that you are handling this extremly difficult situation, a.k.a. an imaginary crime. You are in my thoughts and prayers."
I did write the following note as well:
"Reade, I know you and your friends are innocent. Stay strong and continue to hold your head up high. With every good wish, Duke Mom". At that time,I knew that you were telling the truth and I knew that you were all innocent. Continue to be strong. You all acted with decency, honor, and respect. Congratulations and all my best to you in future. |
| 1940 | Brittany McGuckin | I seriously cried when i heard your speech! You are an FANTASTIC public speaker. I am so happy this is all over for you good. I look foward to reading more about you and your amazing accomplishments to come! |
| 1941 | A. Marion | I beleived from day 1 that each and everyone of these guys were innocent. I could see the hurt in their faces and hear the truth in their voices, as they each spoke so loudly. My heart went out to each and everyone of them and their families. Reid, the truth has now set you free and please, hold your head up high. In many eyes this will not now or ever define who you or the other guys are. You all told the truth and never strayed form it, you showed the world who you are. |
| 1942 | Anonymous | I hope you and your family can go on with your lives now, although I implore you to see to it that Michael NiFong does his time in a federal prison for violating one of the most basic civil rights this country offers that your are "innocent until proven guilty." I hope that President Broadhead and the Duke faculty that preach this civil right can explain why you were not given it by them and are also punished for not sticking by you as well. |
| 1943 | John Worden | Mr. Seligmann,
I am so thankful that the truth came out!! I hope that you can get on with your life and and succeed in whatever you do! I wanted to let you know that I am a Police Officer in Wisconsin and that every cop I know stood behind you and the other players! Again, I wish you and the other players the best of luck throughout your lives!
Sincerely,
John Worden |

| 1945 | Richard Preston | Forget about what some people are saying about you...
You did nothing wrong and there are people that know this, me included. I'm disgusted in the whole affair and wish you the best. |
| 1946 | Tord | I don't know Mr. Seligmann, but I can say this. He has displayed quiet dignity throughout this nightmare, and I wish him and the other falsely accused young men success in their utter destruction of Nifong in civil court. |

| 1949 | Anonymous | I am impressed with your demeanur throughout your ordeal. I have contributed to your defense fund. I hope others will, as well. |
| 1950 | Anonymous | So happy that you guys are finally proven what you were all along, INNOCENT! Now you guys can pick up and move on with your lives and leave this mess behind you. Good luck. J |
