He's probably all like "Hey you got the Mariners and Seahawks quit, so quit crying!". I'm not even a big fan of baseball, football is alright, but basketball is and always will be my favorite sport! I'm tired of hearing Bennett saying he's trying to keep them here, because... HE'S NOT! If he were he would keep them through the Key Arena lease and figure out a way to make a new arena or heck, sell the team to a local ownership who wants to keep them here! (I don't even get what's wrong with Key Arena, it's fine, he's just making things up.)

| 282 | Anonymous | Even though I am from California, as a sports fan united with all, I have come to see that a bunch of politicians are trying to sweep the issue of keeping the Seattle Sonics in Seattle by saying there isn't time in the normal legislation calendar to hear the issue, I find that a bunch of BALONEY!!!. As an avid sports fan I can feel the plight of the Seattle people as they try to keep the Sonics there. Basketball as with other sports provides thousands a luxury to get away from it all and root as one for the home team and have fun in amidst a busy world we have today. And with renewed news that a new group of investors from some very high powered companies based in Seattle ready to step in and convince the current ownership and legislation to consider this proposal, I feel it's a very good shot!!. Yet again politics get in the way and say they can't fit it in near the end of the legislation calander session. I wish the citizens of Seattle god speed and best of luck in saving your Seattle Supersonics. You truely deserve to have a basketball team in your city for years to come!!! Let those that represent you in your government hear your pleas that you will NOT stand for more bureaucratic brushoffs and force them to stay in legislation to consider your plight!! Last time I heard Government works for YOU and they ARE SUPPOSE to hear your concerns!!!! |

However, the Celtics have also, like the Knicks, Bulls and Supersonics, never moved. I don't know how they were forgotten. They just have the best record currently and the most championships.
I want Sonics fans to know that Boston is behind them and if you come to out message boards with ideas how we can help, you may find fellow fans willing to lend a hand. Godspeed Seattle. |
