Anonymous | I have been a Sonics fan for 20 yrs. Although I do not live in Seattle, I regularly purchase merchandise and watch the games. If the Sonics leave Seattle I can honestly say I will not follow that team anymore. Even if it is to OKC which lose to my where I live.
Phil Dombrowski | Moving this team out of Seattle is a bad idea. Buying the team and saying that "they" will keep the team in Seattle and now talking about moving it becuase they can't get a new areana built is idiotic. KEEP THE SONICS IN SEATTLE.
james | i love the sonics
Robert Fleming-Jones | Such a valuable community asset should not be lost!

Matthew Holt | Durant baby! The sonics only belong in one city - and thats seattle.
Jeff Batt | KEVIN DURANT... OUR savior!

Eric Wood | If a arena proposal doesn't get to a public vote and dies in legislature, Seattle sports fans will be extremely dissapointed. Durant=Championships. Don't dissapoint fans that are estatic about Durant.
Dallas Henry | This past season i haven't missed a single home game, and im not even a season ticket-holder. Now thats a true fan... well, besides Big Lo. You can ask Big Lo about me too, he'll let you know. SONICS STAY IN SEATTLE!!!

Breanna McCallister | Sonics are supposed to be here in Seattle. They are the SEATTLE supersonics. They are a tradition here and everyone in the city, regardless of being a fan or not, supports this franchise. It will be a huge mistake for the team to relocate, and it will be a huge, unnecessary loss for the city. PLEASE keep our Sonics here.

Anonymous | I think memorial stadium should be leveled. Put a new arena in its place!! Super bummed if they left the great city of Seattle.
Joseph T. Plesha | The Sonics are a cornerstone of entertainment to the city of Seattle. If we want to continue to establish ourself as a major city, we need to maintain all of our sports franchices, just as we did to the Mariners and Seahawks.

Kyle Sinclair | DON'T MOVE OUR TEAM!
Anonymous | if Seattle loses the Sonics, then they lose a NBA franchise for at least another 10-20 years. Seattle is a sports city and it should stay that way!
Brian Aries | I've been a fan since I was born in the 70's. I have enjoyed wtaching them play at the Coliseum, the King Dome and The Key Arena. Any venue is fine! Please keep the team in the Seattle area!
| 136 | Anonymous | I'm from Juneau Alaska and I want to express my concern of the Sonics moving to Oklahoma. Let me begin by saying this would be a serious down grade for the NBA. As a basketball fan in Alaska it would be heartbreaking to see the Sonic leave Seattle.
This whole problem started the Howard Shultz. What a putz. Now there is an idiot just as big as Howard by the name of Clay. |
Travis Cooper |
Charles Curran | As a lifelong Sonics fan who grew up in the Seattle area but hasn't lived there since 1991, it would be heartbreaking for the Sonics to leave town. They mean so much to the city and to the city's status as a first rate American town.
| 139 | Corey Molinet | I understand that financial issues can cause ownership to make such moves when in the best interest of the team. The fact remains that Oklahoma currently does not have a proper venue either, and asking the loyal fans in Seattle, who have grown up with the Sonics, to pay for the new venue when management is the one with all the money, and then moving them to Oklahoma where the public isn't going to pay for their new venue either, is not only misleading but a deceiving attempt to move OUR team to your city just because your pockets are deeper and your soul empty.
Seattle without the Sonics is like egypt without the pyramids, you can't just take it away because you bought it. |
Ricky Bjorklund | The Sonics are are oldest professional team and the only one to have wond a championship. The economic impact of keeping the team in Seattle far outweighs the cost of a new arena.
Thomas Rook | We the fans need the Sonics. On draft day we did alot to make our team a contender. My family ans I are GREAT fans of the NBA, and without the sonics I would hate to root for another team. PLEASE DONT LEAVE!!!!!!!
Mark Randolph | keep the sonics in seattle, ill fork out any $$$ i can to help

Tony Bartoli | I love my Sonics!
chris | The sonics are a must in Seattle! it would be a tragedy for the city, the history of the franchise, the NBA, Bennett's pockets to move the team.
