| 1154 | Jennifer Williams | This is an amazing tattoo parlor and it shouldn't be shut down! Tattoo's do not give a negative influence, just think, in some places and cultures, tattoo's are required to become an adult! If anything should be taken out it should be all the immigrants that have turned the once very Irish Hackettstown, into another Dover. |

| 1167 | Daniel Kaprat | Tattoo's are in no way harming the world that we live in today. Why are we focusing on minor things like this and not drugs in schools and local economy. Last time I checked tattoo parlors add to taxes. |
| 1168 | Maencha Guillaume | I've been in Hackettstown for less than a year and already I've experienced racist remarks just walking through the town. We had rocks thrown at us by drivers, and slurs yelled at us. Going to different businesses my friends and I not were not openly welcome, the only place where we felt comfortable WAS the tattoo parlor. Everett and the guys are so nice, open, and kind hearted. Even when you're not getting a tattoo and just walk in to say hello, the guys are there with open arms and smiles on their faces. If Hackettstown wants to work on those aspects of the town that "contributes a negative aspect" of its town, they need to work with some of the people first, before they go and try closing the tattoo parlor. Its upsetting that I had to go to a tattoo parlor to feel welcome in Hackettstown. |

| 1170 | Dan Roberts | To whom it concerns,
I was disappointed to hear that Hackettstown is looking to ban small businesses from existing in the town. By this, I am speaking of the desire to deny businesses with old world negative perceptions, ie the historical claims levied against tattoo parlors.
I am a 32 year old professional biologist. I have been collecting tattoos since I turned 18. For me, they are an artistic expression of my personality and what I believe. In the 21st century, I would have thought that we've grown to accept people of different backgrounds, beliefs, and those exhibiting personal expressions on their bodies.
As a client of the tattoo parlor in Hackettstown, I am extremely dissappointed to hear that my money may no longer be acceptible for your local economy. When I make the trip up to First Place Tattoos, I make it a point to get a meal, fill up my vehicle, and partake in the local businesses of Hackettstown.
I hope you reconsider your stance on these archaic stereotypes about tattoo parlors and businesses of their kind.
Sincerely
Dan Roberts

| 1184 | robert "JR" tettemer | by trying to get rid of a tattoo parlor and saying their negitive you are saying that everyone with a tattoo is contributing to the negativity of the world... This is an unfair statement. so your saying that the man who gets a tattoo to remember his son that was killed by a drunk driver is negitive? or the son that wants to remember his mother, or the man that wants to symbolize his religion? tattoos have been around for hundreds of years and in many cultures they are a symbole of adult hood and respect. It is not fair and is profileing to say that everyone with a tattoo is a negitive person or has negitive affect on the town of hacketts town..... thank you..

| 1185 | James Ahman | I am continually disappointed by the inability of people to live and let live. Fix Main Street by attracting niche businesses that people want. A business that has been operating successfully for over 10 years is obviously in demand.
Let the market decide. |

They are a talented group of artists. Their not hurting anyone, I feel they bring something interesting to a pretty dull town. Tattoos are a part of my generation and have been around since ages ago. Don't allow this to happen, it's just another business the people who work there make a living and have loyal customers, and they do an outstanding job of their work I feel they are the best in NJ. |

| 1197 | Fortunato | Besides my first tattoo that I had done, I have gotten 5 of them done at first place. Not only is the place a clean environment, but everyone who works there is very professional. I have returned to them time and time again, and brought many friends there to get their ink done as well. They are an honest establishment with the fairest prices out of any place I've been to. To say that it brings negativity to a town is ridiculous.....I've actually gotten tattoos with local family members who are police officers, lawyers, and doctors from the surrounding areas, so...are the police with tattoos adding the the negativity also?? Doubted, but of course municipal incompetence always leaves law officials pointing the finger at everyone besides themselves. Shape your town up in a positive manner instead of focusing on an honest business where people are just trying to make a living. It's not 1930 anymore....everyone get's tattoos, not just sailors. Opening your eyes to a changing world is the first step to solving the towns problem.....not closing a tattoo shop. |
