| 1002 | Kandice Norton | firstplace is amazing. nothing is left in hackettstown, you take first place away, itll be crap. |
| 1003 | Kelly Bray | Tattoo parlors do not bring a town down, shoddy education systems and intolerence do. Why don't you close more liquor stores and gun shops and churches? If you want to look for witches, Mr. Mayor, try looking in the mirror.
That's usually where you find them. |

| 1005 | Silvia | thats gios favourite tatto parlour dont shut it down |
| 1006 | Chris Capps-Schubert | Mr. Lavery,
This is an egregious breach of people's rights and an Orwellian law. Your trampling on the rights of your citizens will not be tolerated. |
| 1007 | danielle dixon | how does a tattoo parlor with no prior "run-ins" with the law, contribute to the negative aspect of a town?! |

| 1010 | Matthew Lott | I have 7 tattoos currently, every single one of them done by the great artists at First Place. To shut down a tattoo parlor is not just shutting down a tattoo parlor, but it is an attack on small business owners in general. The Mayors decision is uneducated, ill-advised and tyrannical. I know numerous people that work for the town of Hackettstown that have gotten tattooed at First Place and their opinion of First Place is just as high-regarded as mine. I hope the Mayor can quit trying to be a big-headed, cocky politician and let a great small business continue to be a great small business. |

| 1020 | Connor Cleary | The Chinese have been tattooing people for ages. In fact: it used to be common practice to flay a deceased loved one and frame the beautiful artwork on their skin. A tad revolting to most modern minds, but the point remains valid: Tattoos are an art-form. Those who acquire tattoos are customizing their bodies. It's nobody's right to say whats acceptable for a person to do to their own body, as long as it doesn't harm anyone else... and visual stimulus can't harm anybody. |

| 1023 | jess | this is ridiculous. can't close first place, mad cool people and do great work. |
| 1024 | Curt Hoy | A free market is the best market. If our economy says we should get another tattoo parlor or nail salon then one will come in. If our economy isn't looking for any none will enter. Why block a free market?
I don't want the government telling me what I can and cannot do with my property. |

| 1031 | Matt Schroeder | First Place has been a fixture in H town as long as I can remember. This isn't about public safety or eliminating criminal activity, it is just politics as usual, a cheap trick the mayor is pulling in the guise of some moral crusade. Closing this establishment only drives business away from Hackettstown. The town can't live off the drug trade alone... |
| 1032 | Bryan Hennessy | Regardless of whether they are the greatest tattoo shop in the world or are terrible at what they do. As long as they do not break the law and pay their rent, there are no legal grounds to prevent them from doing business. Judging by the reaction on this petition, they have obviously earned the right to continue doing business on Main Street in Hackettstown. Focus on the 2/3 bedroom apartments on top of Main St storefronts that house 10-12 people. This is what keeps business' from renting space in Hackettstown. |

| 1038 | Anonymous | i have always gone to first place for my piercings and plan on getting future tattoos done here. i've always heard good things about first place. my friends and i have never had a problem with any of the employees and there work. there all excellent there and very talented. i trust them that there work area is clean and sterilized. there is no reason for shutting first place down. tattooing is an art of expression. if certain people dont like tattoos then dont look at them, but theres no reason to try and shut down tattoo parlors because you think its "negative. " Example: Think about it this way - how could you think tattooing angels wings or "in loving memory of my mom" be negative??? There could be a lot of positive ways to look at tattooing, plus most tattoos have a meaning behind them anyways. Please take into consideration and allow First Place Tattoos to continue running there business. |
| 1039 | Anonymous | taking first place out of hackettstown would be a really big mistake. thats the one thing there thats big that people recognize. you hear from everyone talking about first place....everyone says "oh yeah that place in hackettstown, right?" without first place hackettstown will be nothing. |
| 1040 | DANIEL VALDES JR. | Freedom of Expression followed by your right to the piece of the American Dream are two of the largest building blocks of this country. Changing this formula makes us no better then the people that look to destroy our way of life. |
