The petition

To: Culver City City Council Members, Redevelopment Agency and Planning Commissioners

We the residents of Culver City oppose the redevelopment of the Sepulveda corridor as proposed by Champion Development. We believe it will ruin the quality of life in Culver City by -
1. Increasing population density in a community that has reached its livable maximum.
2. Increasing traffic 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
3. Destroying local businesses that keep our retail environment unique and independent.
4. Placing commercial property ownership in the hands of a monopoly.
5. Building a structure so large and monolithic that it looms over the community from all sides.
6. Losing the community's trust in its city council to improve the quality of life in Culver City.
7. Ruining Culver City's unique small town community that makes it a great place to live.

We urge you to vote against the Champion proposed redevelopment.

We ask you to begin redevelopment anew in collaboration with residences, business and property owners.

Last, the petitioners on this document are willing to take political action if necessary to have our city represented by a council that will protect the relatively small town environment we value.
