"The Rod" is a nylon whip made for the sole purpose of beating
babies and children. It comes with instructions on how to beat your child with it. It is a whip approx. 22 inches long. Using this item is child abuse and it can cause serious injury to the child.
We the undersigned ask that Slides stop making the rod and making a profit on selling an item that is used to abuse children. We also ask that Hunt-Wilde Corporation refuse to sell the
grips used as handles for "The Rod," and instruct its distributors to
discontinue selling their grips to Slide's. We ask that the Oklahoma government
investigate Slide's Manufacturing and stop them from making and selling
this child abuse instrument. We also ask that the Consumer Product Safety Commission recall this product on the basis it can and will cause injury. |
