Maybe they should put better guide lines of Networking sites. But to ban them all together for minors under 18. I am an American, I am free, but I cant get onto myspace. I can drop out of school at 17 but I cant get onto Myspace. I can join the Marine Corps. and die for my country at 17 but I cant get onto Myspace. Our government has the power to govern by the Governed. We, as FREE Americans, should stand up and say NO. This is not what we want.

Focus on getting more laws against the predators (which aren't as commonplace as they make it seem anyways). Don't penalize the kids and us educators out there trying to find new and innovative ways to teach the kids to keep them active and interested in our classes for the idiots out there that are using the Internet in an inapporpriate way. |

The typical abuse associated with such sites as Myspace, Facebook, ect includes on line predators, people who you don't want contacting you making contact, it has ruined marriages because of past loved ones rekindling the past, and more. I believe social networks should be eliminated all together. Something needs to be done and I believe this petition to be a good start. Age limits should be placed on social networks, personal info should not be allowed. To say the least Myspace, Facebook, ect is a spawn that has effected many people in many negative ways and should be shut down completely. |
