# First NameLocationAgeComments
KaitlynPA03Our church youth group uses a myspace group to keep in contact with one another during the week. Myspace isn't just a social website, it's professional as well. If it wasn't for myspace I wouldn't know what was going on the following sunday or know what time or where to show up. I also use myspace in order to find new music and bands. I am very involved in music and it's one of my favorite parts of myspace. If it wasn't for this website, many of the bands on there now probably wouldn't have gotten signed. If people are having problems with children and myspace, then parents should keep a closer eye on their children. My mother checks mine at least once a week. A possible solution would be to make an age limit??..thanks for listening..and I hope you value my comment.
AnonymousFL02it wouldn't make sense to ban the websites because ther a re a lot of other websites that predators have access to, especially adult websites. myspace and such websites for teens are also good ways for u to keep in touch with friends and pople u may have not seen in a while. rather than ban it, you should try to raise awareness and educate kids on what to do and what not to do for their safety.
CodyWA02DON'T BAN MYSPACE!!! It's the only way I can connect with my friends in other countries without it having to cost a million dollars a minute! Anyways... good luck! -- Cody Jay
BrittanyTX01i think this is a law that undermeines the constitutional law of free speech.

WalterCA06The only thing on the internet other than myspace is porn and adult personals sites, which are in essence porn. Myspace is a free forum on which people are allowed to express themselves visually, artistically, and through language. Yes, there are some who use it for the porn aspect, but that's life, they are a very small minority from what I've seen so far and even these people are required to express themselves artistically. I've seen minors and adult both try to beat the system and stalk each others' groups but these still exist on the pay sites and the majority should not be punished for the freaky misbehavior of a very small minority or else everything will have to be taken away.

JamesCO02it is our consetutional right to be able to acess myspace in public libraries, and even at school.. it is upto the school/teachers to decide if we are acessing it at the wrong time, PLUS many of my friends dont have internet at home... and their big way of communtication is through myspace [which they mainly acess at the library]

brandonFL03i think myspace is a great website. i meet sooooo many girls on it!
CourtneyNC04the internet is not at fault here, the parents are... try getting involved in your child's life, take a day off from work now and then to spend a little time with them and talk to them... and yes, check up on their myspaces, etc now and then too... but blaming the internet and taking away their access is only going to make them find other ways to do what they so badly want to do, whether that's just talking with their friends on myspace because that's what's cool, or putting naked pictures of themselves on some site for all the world to see. I know, it hasnt been that long since I was a teenager!

AndrewNY06I am so sick of Conservatives and Republicans trying to take away our freedoms. Taking away websites from teens does nothing but violate their freedom of speech.
YekaterinaRI03They should work on banning sites that how child porn and encourage people to continue their perverted fantasies, rather than punishing potential victims.

AnonymousMO02
shawnMN02you cant take myspace away just becuase of some child perditors its not fare to the people that use it to find friends and stay in touch, and find out new bands.
AmberCA02Remember our forefathers.
JettyIL04This is my freedom as an American. My freinds are not fighting and dying in foreign lands for my freedoms to be stripped in the "Land of the Free"! This is NOT what America is about!
RachelFL02
AllieNC01Basically, MySpace is safe for anyone who uses it right. If your 14 or under, put it on private. Don't give out personal info, and don't put up photos that are innapropriate. Be smart about it, and you'll be fine. Dang.

nateWA02Myspace is not a bad website
KyleNJ03this guy is an idiot. the 14th amendment still should leave this descision in the hands of each state. what a douche.
AlejandroNY02Why do adults feel the need to make choices that they feel are best for society. They may be good for their own self, but this is America, hands off pal. Stop trying to tell everyone how to live their life. If they want to go on myspace, then so be it. If they want to eat wrong, drive a bad car, etc.. Its their life stop being a control freak!!!! Honestly, America land of the free???

AnonymousSC01Many people do not have a home computer, and cannot keep up with old friends and distant relatives without using myspace at the library, or at school.
