| 9858 | Patrick Dean | I am a multiple business owner who travels frequently. I own a vacation rental in Puerto Rico. The fees for travelling with a surfboard are excessive and unfair. Remove the fees or be boycotted. I would advise all of my surfing friends to not use your airline as a result of the fees charged. |

I have only taken two surf trips in the past 3 years year that involved flying, but I have lost count of the drive to trips that I have taken. If boards flew free like they used to (BWIA, LACSA, TACA, COPA, to name a few that did) I would take a trip every 3 months like I used to as I continuously build up time off to vacation but instead of flying I drive. Between the fees and the damage received to my boards it is just not worth flying. The airlines to put it bluntly SUCK. |

| 9871 | Garrett Putnam Kling | I am a traveling entrepreneur and surfer, fed up with unreasonable surfboard handling fees. I spend three-four months a year traveling the world with multiple surfboards. I will be avoiding airlines that charge high fees and the ludicrous : "per-surfboard charge" I will be avoiding these airlines (the majority are based in the U.S.) for all future travel plans.

These fees are very unfair to surfers and are the reason I will be leaving my much loved board in Panama in a months time, its simply to expensive to bring it with me. |

| 9882 | kendra | Surfers are some of the most travelled people in the world. Pioneering and exploring remote parts of the world to find that beautiful gem of a wave.
What is shameful & discriminatory is that most airlines have imposed fees for the handling of a surfboard. Some airlines have banned surfboards altogether!
Most often these board bags are lighter and smaller than some golf club sets, Skis & Snowboard bags w/boots that travel for free!
These fees for surfers are unfair and uncalled for! |
