Open Review Prior to Expansion of Talus into Parcel 18

We are Citizens Against Talus Expansion. Our membership has begun with a group of homeowners in Talus bordering Parcel 18. We welcome all Talus and City of Issaquah residents to our plight.

We are against an expansion of Talus without involvement and representation of current Talus homeowners. There are parties who would like to allow an annexation of the land downhill from Talus’ TreAris neighborhood (Parcel 18) into the Talus urban village for additional home/neighborhood construction; land not included in the Talus maps shown when TreAris and Wilderness Peak homes were purchased.

Such expansion will cause:
 Increased traffic around Squak Park in TreAris
 Loss of the walking trail over the utility easement that runs through that area
 Loss of undeveloped space; natural habitat
 Heavier traffic on Talus' main roads

We are petitioning the City of Issaquah to open their processes regarding any Urban Village expansion at Talus to the public and to handle them in a step-by-step, disciplined manner; not in a hastened manner that may only consider one view or one solution.

Signing the petition is simply asking the City to have open dialogue.
