In cults, people are drawn in for their various reasons, usually for their religious pursuits or their social anxieties. With Quixtar, they play on what people are usually weakest at, finances and social standing. With high hopes and aspirations, people blindly dive in and become involved with this horrible companies scam. They pour everything they have into it only to be rewarded with debt and misery. I can't even begin to understand the reasoning behind a person that would be willing to purposely mislead people into believing in something that they know will 99% of the time never even come close to working. Greed is a horrible thing, especially the lengths people are willing to go while being effected by it; but at the same time I guess money really can be considered the root of all evil, but only when it's rooted in the hearts of men/women with no drive of their own other than to use others to satiate their own materialistic whims. (speaking of the founders of Quixtar) Ultimately I feel sorry for those unfortunate individuals who are currently involved in this, I can only hope that they can discern the lies, and learn to pursue their true dreams with their own strength, not the strength of this horrible misleading company and the leadership supporting it. I'm happy that my girlfriend is smart, and saw Quixtar for what it really is when she was introduced to it, a scam. I myself, wasn't approached but learned of it through her and did enough research to say it's easiest labeled a scam, but could be better noted as an unnecessary thing in our system. |

My wife is completely angry with me about that, and wants to let my daughter attend some Quixtar functions because my wife is convinced that our daughter will figure it out for herself, and that Quixtar can't really be that bad anyway since it is a legally operating business that sells some product. Help! Since our daughters involvement in Quixtar, she (and her boyfriend) have lied to us about what they are doing on several occassions, I've heard a number of the "stock answers" and arguments found all over the web from my daughter, and at this point, I am convinced that her indoctrination has not only begun but is well underway. My desire to keep her out of this, my wife's relative indifference, my daughters love for her boyfriend, and his zealotry (and soon my daughter's) are likely going to cost me a family. There has to be a way to stop these scammers who are robbing our youth of years of their lives chasing the fictional dreams Quixtar markets. |
