Elizabeth | Ayala | NY | US | Some guy got my boyfriend to be interested but after he tells me about it I have such a bad feeling about it. As I'm typing he's in some seminar that is brainwashing him. I'm doing research and its incredible and disgusting. I cannot let him fall into this. This should be illegal.

Raja | Vemula | | US | One of our friends sold my wife beauty products without tell us they are from quixtar. Not to mention the products are very bad and she had skin allergies. No refunds ... No replacements. I am pretty pissed... they tell us they are skin analysts and never get trained in anything like this. If this is not cheating ... then what is?
Vonn | Lewis | VA | US | I know what they mean. This is a positive thing you're doing. I am also trying to organize a few campaigns against quixtar. They have invaded my campus and try to recruit people in the library. It's disgusting and their meetings are scary. They really are manipulative and make a lot of promises to people. One guy was talking about how he was really into the business-got his girlfriend pregnant and had to stop. Then he went BACK to it. My question is if he was making that much money wouldn't it have made more sense to stick with it? Quixtar isn't all bad-there IS an opportunity for people to make money-the chances are just incredibly slim and it isn't for everyone. They exploit religion, low income families, and middle class families with empty promises. It's sickening. They make it sound so easy in the beginning and then they tell you that you need to work hard and the only way to be successful is to use the tools. One thing though. Ive noticed that mentors let people borrow tools so they dont have to buy them. If you question anything-their attitude goes from friendly to very aggressive. If you express any doubt or skepticism they get this real stern tone in their voice. If you see the people involved in quixtar and all the people who are affiliated with quixtar they tend to use the same type of key words such as "winner" and "loser." Calling people idiots and you can tell it's something they strongly believe in. I can see how it can develop great relationships. It's like "yeah im broke-but we're broke together and we can do this" and pushes them to work harder and they spend more money then they're making. I think some of the more succesful people will feel a little guilty at times. I mean I talked to the guy trying to recruit me and there would be certain moments where he would drop subtle hints about quixtar as if to warn me. I know it sounds crazy and this is a long rant but I feel the exact same way. I wouldn't wish this upon anyone. They ask you to give them a list of names and contacts. They say it's only for "winners" but they're willing to recruit anyone-why? Because they see that everyone has potential-and at some point that person will end up spending money on the products(because this is what is emphasized to be succesful-buy from yourself). The people of quixtar are honestly good people and I do believe they have good intentions to help people-but I have a feeling the higher ups are the ones who are really in on what goes on and how they're taking advantage of other members within quixtar. If most of your income comes from within that means SOMEONE has to end up broke for everyone else to be succesful-unless they recruit someone to pick up the tab. It's just insane. They put more emphasis on recruiting people than they do the system. I could go on and on and on. But like I said-the people of quixtar are good people-and it is an opportunity for people to make money but out of 1,000 only about 75 will make any significant income. They mention God at least 4 times at every meeting. I urge people not to give out names though because some people are really gullible and wont have the drive(or money) to really stick it(if that's possible I can't talk from personal experience-which is why I'm trying not to be TOO negative-can you tell I've been to 2 quixtar meetings(even I'm starting to see the effects and it's only been 2 meetings)? To be fair they do promise your money back if you sign up-but their "tools to be succesful" are nonrefundable. So what's that saying? They have good energy drinks. They talk about how you NEED these products. Who needs to drink 2 energy drinks a day? Honestly?!

Anonymous | Anonymous | PA | US | My son recently married the daughter of an Quixtar Distributor. He assured me that he would never become a part of "the business". Two months later, he has turned into a proselytizing robot. He will not watch tv or read newspapers anymore. His weekends are completely tied up with meetings. He states that he believes in "the business" 110%. I relate our family's situation to this. My son was hit over the head with a concrete quixtar block. He looks like my son, but he suffered brain damage and amnesia through a myriad of tapes, cds and meetings with "the leaders". I wonder, will I ever "see" my son again? check out his website at www.jackzerby.com and you will see what he once was. You can also just google his name. Before quixtar, he was on his way to doing something great. Help!
Violeta | Garza | ID | US | My parents have recently joined Quixtar and I knew from the moment they mentioned it that it was a huge scam. My mom is a real gullible person and she believes in this company whole-heartedly. They have already spent over $300 on these "natural vitamins" Anybody could go to the store and buy these vitamins for $5 I've tried explaining this to her but it's no use. This "doctor" who speaks at these meetings are telling people they can be cured of their many illnesses by taking these herbal remedies. My mom has already taken my brother off all of his asthma meds and I think it's a bad idea. PLEASE help stop this company from doing this to other families.

ryan | tompson | | US | They tried to recruit me recently--a bunch of Indian guys. Little do they know I'm a journalist, so i went along with it to see what was going on. Man, what a scam! The scariest part was meeting all these people who were SO OBVIOULSY brainwashed. These people steal money and steal people's lives. A definite cult. A dangerous one.

Christine | keesey | | | Took from me something I will never get back... My self Esteem and my ability to ever love another
Neil | Stone | | | Some folks in my family tried to get me into this. After doing the research I was told not to do, I saw that this was not just a bad idea but an evil one. The people who tried to get me into this are not evil but very misguided.
Anonymous | Anonymous | PA | US | My Daughter joined about 2 years ago. It has completely changed her. She spends all her money on it. The meetings come before her family. She won't listen to anything her Father and I have to say. She was a Christian before she got into it and that is what they confess! They also prey on college students. They are young and need the money. She has pretty much ignoged all her friends from home and associates with her Quixtar "TEAM". She is getting more and more distant from her family and it is tearing us up. Just don't know what to do but wait till she wakes up. We will be there for her!
| 119 | Kenji | Lee | CA | US | I truly believe that if people wants to sue something they have to look at what the company has done, not what the IBOs has done. Yes, there are people who enter Quixtar because they wants to be rich, but a company like Quixtar should be investigated carefully. Other things that people should do is to interview the people who owns the company and their staffs and get their view points. I don't understand why there is so many companies joining Quixtar if it is a cult? There are major companies like Microsoft, Intel, Compaq, Fry Multimedia, IBM, MCI, Circuit City, Barnes and Nobles, Dell, etc... Why would these companies joined Quixtar if it is a cult. In order for something to be consider legal there has to be a services of products and people. If people were to recruite people to become rich and there is no services and products, it would be consider illegal.

Patrick | Habegger | IN | US | I currently attend Anderson University in Anderson, IN. I first became aware of quixtar when I heard one of my friends speak of some one with a possible "opportunity." I immediately thought it was a pyramid sceme or at least some form of a scam. Upon further research into this i believe several things. A)you can make money but that is completely dependant upon suckering others into the program to eiter lose money or to get others into the program that will lose money. B) it is impossible to not lose money unless you recruit others into the program or sell products that are priced higher than retail stores. I have come to these conclusions with research and study of quixtar. Currently i am working to produce an article about quixtar to warn people of quixtar as well as produce information that will allow the govt. to look into this companies' practices as well as possibly get it banned from the states at least if not shut down. I need information on money lost any ammout from one dollar to thousands in order to present a reliable case to not only the public that are oblivious but the govt. as well. my email is plhabegger@anderson.edu please contact me.

Nia | Pacifica | MI | GU | Let me help you. If you really want your petition to work, you will have to come up with some concrete evidence. I did some research on Quixtar after my sister in law joined. My goal was to warn her away. This is what I came up with: Quixtar gaurantees all of their products with a 100% money back gaurantee. I even bought from her to test this out. All of the companies that they are affiliated with must provide the same gaurantee (Barnes & Noble, Whirlpool, Adidas, SONY, etc.). The "sign-up" fee is also refundable. I have not signed up nor tried to get my money back so I have no testimony on this. My sister in law devoted herself to Quixtar the way one would devote themselves to a Masters Program or to recording a music album. It was a means to achieving her dream. Sure, we saw her less at family functions but why berate her for this? After 2 years and a lot of hard work, she is making over $7000 a month (I've seen the checks). While Quixtar is not for me and I have blatantly told her that I am not interested in seeing "the plan", I am happy for her and her successes. That's what family is for, right? A friend of ours that she managed to recruit was not so driven and ended up dropping out. I attributed it to lack of ambition and follow through. Quixtar is not for me or you. This is obvious. But to talk about it so maliciously is ridiculous. My sister in law and my brother attended marriage seminars through Quixtar. He went from being an @sshole to being courteous. So what if he was being nice to get me to sign up? They started reading with their kids and limited TV time. Before that, the kids were addicted to MTV and Hannah Montana. I met some of their "quixtar friends" and was impressed by their sincerity. So what if they seemed a little gullable? While I am sure there are some shady people in Quixtar, we can't write all of them off as fools or fanatics. If you are seeing less of your family members and loved ones, maybe you need to contribute more positively to their lives and support and show interest in their goals, no matter how quirky those goals may be. Even if they fail at Quixtar, so what? Let that be their learning experience and don't harass them over it. I agree with my brother and my sister in law on this note... how is Quixtar different from any other corporate company? You work for a small select group of executives that is getting rich. The CEO's of Olive Garden are getting rich... and Walmart and McDonald's and so on and on. Maybe Quixtar is not what we would have chosen for our loved ones. But they have chosen it for themselves. Surveys like this without hard facts just make you sound like a bunch of fanatics yourselves. It also explains why your family members and loved ones don't want to spend time with you. You just come off as NEGATIVE people. Maybe your family members have never had a goal they are passionate about and Quixtar has given it to them. Maybe they haven't felt like they had any support (hello?!?). So what if they aren't making any money? Stop being selfish and try to consider that maybe this "crazy" organization is meeting one of their needs. I'm not trying to be mean, just helpful. My sister in law and brother are a Quixtar family and I love them dearly. Try to love your family members too. They will come around.
Anonymous | Anonymous | AR | | I got a REFUND 100%, thank goodness!! My roomate let too much time lapse & did not, unfortunately. I learned a valuable lesson by attending just ONE of the meetings these fools put on locally, and that is "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is". I don't care if other people give Quixtar credit for being like any other Giant Corporation; the problem is they EXPLOIT people & make false promises THEN mix in a dose of religion. When you call them on it, they are quick to shun you & pretend you don't exist, which is GREAT for us because we do not want to ever do business with these types of people that bring down others along with themselves. I watched a neighbor make his family so many promises & dreams; he failed miserably & ended up going back to his regular, HONEST 8-5 dayjob. It didn't take long to figure out that your upline comes over & initially acts interested to try & get you signed onto several reoccurring purchases (any bachelors out there really NEED 24 rolls of toilet paper a month?!?). Fortunately, I ordered one thing from them, and after several delays, finally received it, having since wrote off the Quixtar company as a shady, poor-Internet business performer. If they worked at 1/10th the way Amazon.com does, maybe they could win more people over, but in this life I certainly hope those Britt Worldwide effers & all their associates get what's coming 'round to them.
