Dear Senator- I strongly urge you to support a filibuster in order to block the confirmation of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court. Samuel Alito's work has shown strong opposition to women's rights, civil rights, workers' rights, separation of church and state, and privacy rights. His disdain for Americans’ constitutional right to privacy extends even to allowing the strip search of a 10-year-old girl. Not only could he be the decisive vote to reverse Roe v. Wade, his addition to the Court will likely lead to eviscerating sex and race discrimination laws and undermining important legislation such as the Family and Medical Leave Act. |
