Jack CrittendenCherokees in Adair County and Cherokee County voted against the Chief in his bid for a illegal 3rd Term . These 2 counties have the highest concentration of Cherokees by blood, and Adair is the poorest of the Cherokee Nation 14 county area. Adair County also has the worst health record in all of 77 counties of Oklahoma.
David CornsilkCome August, Chad Smith will have absolute control of every branch of the Cherokee government. He has a super-majority on the Council, four of the five justices on our Supreme Court and a majority on the Election Commission. There are no "checks & balances" left for the Cherokee people except federal oversight.
Marvin James SummerfieldI fully support this petition, and the laws of the United States Constitution to keep it's overview over the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma tribal government.

Jack D. (Doug) JourneycakeAs a member of the Delaware Tribe it stike me that my Tribe has no agreements with the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. However they are still holding us as hostages to squander any and all money destined for our. This is all done at the direction of th dictator. Doug
sally lafayetteI fully support the above petition for your review and consideration. My being 3/8 Cherokee (BIA documented) with ancestors that WALKED the Trail of Tears with thier brothers and sisters-the Cherokee Freedmen -learned of the Human Sacrifices each faced on this trail. With this past history in mind, I believe Chief Chad Smith is dealing a very serious card against HUMANITY for generations to come. I urge each of you to vote to remove ALL federal funding to the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma as it has not kept its agreement with all people toward a better Humanly endeavor for Freedom and Equal Rights or all people!
Bobby GraysonAs a descendant of former slaves (Freedmen) that were emancipated in the Treaty of 1866 I want to know when will the United States Government keep its promise and uphold the Treaty of 1866. My ancestors were held as slave in both the Muscogee (Creek) and Seminole Indian Nations. As long as the United States Government continue to fund the Five Nations (Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek, and Seminole) political machines in Washington, DC the descendants of former slaves will never be treated “equally” by these Nations. I am not advocating withdrawing or withholding funds from these Nations, on the contrary, please don’t do that. In the past 37 years the BIA and the Department of the Interior’s policies have been, “No Cry-No Foul”. But I submit to you, we the descendants of Freedmen in the Five Civilizes Tribes are still fighting for the rights granted our ancestors and passed on to us in accordance with the Treaty of 1866. As for the BIA and the Department of the Interior, when they do intervene, as they did in the case of Seminole Freedmen, the promise of the Treaty of 1866 is upheld. I submit to you that dragging the descendants of Freedmen into court-after-court is not the answer. Upholding the Treaty of 1866 is the answer. President Abraham Lincoln said, “A house divided will not stand …..” The three constitutional amendments drafted by President Lincoln were adopted by the Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek, and Seminole Indian Nation in the Treaty of 1866. It is through this Treaty whereby I like other citizen of the Cherokee, Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek, and Seminole Indian Nations claim my rights. I am and have always been a citizen of the Proud Mvskoke/Muscogee (Creek) Indian Nation, but I am not recognized because my ancestors are listed on the Dawes Rolls as Freedmen. I have relative and friends whom are Descendants of Freedmen of the Cherokee Indian Nation (Oklahoma). They/we are embattled today for their rightful place in the Cherokee Indian Nation (Oklahoma). Please correct this injustice my enforcing and upholding the Treaty of 1866. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration. Cehecvres Bobby Grayson, Jr.
Allen L. LeeCongress needs to demand enforcement of existing laws protecting the rights of Native Nation citizens or enact stronger laws which which will protect individual rights, especially addressing loss of citizenship due to genetic heritage. Citizenship should not be allowed to be based on DNA eugenics anywhere in this world
Marjie QuallsAudit the funds. 300 millon plus all the casino cash could be used to help the people - it is not. Cut the funds as Chad and his yes men are lining their pockets. The people need help and they are not getting it.
Linda SummerfieldI am not a Cherokee citizen, but I bore a Cherokee child and am very concerned with the atrocities being commited by this current dictator and racist chief who wants absolute power with no oversight.

AnonymousI am an enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma, yet I fully support this petition to shut down this bogus entity calling themselves the Cherokee Nation. I would like to see the Cherokee Nation re-organized to become the Nation it is supposed to be...one that truly cares for it's citizens, and one that will honor treaties made with the US Government. I am ashamed of the Cherokee nation of Oklahoma's current government, and leaders.
Grant PerrymanI am Tvskigi of the Mvskoke Etvlwv. Silas Jefferson is my grx4 Uncle. His full brother, John Jefferson, was placed on the "Freedmen" Dawes Roll. I cannot enroll in my own Nation under their present constitution. The citizenship of Mvskoke people have been denied/revoked/disolved since 1979. I just want my heritage legitimized and recognized.
Steve OsburnThe federal government needs to step in and save the Cherokee people from bogus Cherokee chief Chad Smith.

Angela Walton-RajiAn immediate investigation into the financial, political, and human rights issues pertaining to the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma is needed. Congressional action is needed.

Robin MayesRemember, the CNO is NOT the Cherokee Nation and a positive solution to all this mess would be to remove the CNO and return the Cherokee government to ALL Cherokee Citizens.

Tim Moorechad bubba smith and his cronies just don't get it. They reap what they sow.
Ed CrittendenWe are in the hands of the most ruthless dictatorship in the history of the Cherokee people. If Congress chooses to neglect this situation, what we are supposedly fighting against in Iraq will flourish in the heart of America and be subsidized through federal funding. It is not only the freedmen that are being oppressed, but all Cherokee people. The amount of funding for perceptive influence that is available to the administration can not be overcome by the people and the oppression that will come from this ability to keep enough convinced of any given thing will continue to give this dictator the cover he needs to continue to perpetrate a fraud against all Cherokee people. The freedman issue has taken his oppression to an extreme level in that he is now attempting to tell Congress what their authority will and will not be in relation to the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. Should Congress turn a blind eye and neglect this travisty it will ultimatly be the ruin of all treaties between Indian tribes and the United States. Smith is risking all tribal sovereignty and must be stopped. Only Congress or a federal court has the authority to peacefully do so. Otherwise the people are left to violent revolution as their only means of resolve. Thomas Jefferson stated that it is the duty of the people to overthrow any government which has become oppressive to the point as we are currently in. Congress must fully assess our situation as a people and address these concerns with the expertise of complete knowledge of the facts. We are being taken over by organized crime and our situation has become desperate. The freedman issue is a good reason for Congress to now order a full investigation into the original organizing of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma and finally disclose all of the lies and fraud that have been perpetrated on the Cherokee people. Most Cherokees do not even know these facts. With but a little investigation Congress now has the ability to uncover a multitude of crimes that were committed against the first Americans and most by the leaders who created the structure so they could not be touched by anyone within. Organized crime only wished it had such a luxury as the sovereignty that Indian tribes enjoy. When Congress allows organized crime to take over the second largest tribe in America you have given birth to a little dixie mafia who are decendants of the original Treaty Party and the KKK.
