Im coming to Fernie and bringing 6 mates with me who all love a good kicker.
Building back country kickkers is all good, but we all know you only hit them so many times before you need to build another.
The reason these resorts are continuing to grow is because of the rise of freestyle boarders and skiers over the last decade, i dont think they have any aidea of the impact this is going to have.
There are many other ways around this so called 'issue' than banning jumps all together.
Brain storm a little RCR, it aint rocket science to come up with an idea to please everyone.

this is farked. Im coming all the way from Aussie, I did the right thing and booked my ski pass in may to make sure I got one.
the only reason i am coming to Fernie is to ride POW and hit some jumps.
If this does not get sorted it will be the last time i come to fernie if i even make it this time.
Ill be telling all my mates to avoid this place aswell, what a bunch of wankers!
a park without kickers is not a park and If its a safety issue? thats why god invented a brain so we humans could look at a potentially dangerous situation and practice good judgment and restraint. There by avoiding self harm.
Could they not even meet us half way and build some small jumps??
Please do something this is going to ruin me and my mates entire season

I understand managements need to minimize risks for resort visitors to the resorts, but there is other ways of mitigating such risks without the need to remove all Jumps from within the resort.
Terrain parks should be fenced off and have adequate warning as to the danger, risks and etiquette involved in entering a terrain park.
Visitors this way are aware of the environment within the terrain park and make decision to enter a terrain park at there own risk.
Despite this, I would like to see the injuries related to rail related accidents. I have seen some people eat it harder on rails than that of some jumps. |
