| 2 | Carrie Bartek | Also, I feel I am taking my life in my hands when I try to bike to UNC from Heritage HIlls off Smith Level Road in the summer. If Smith Level Road is a scenic bike route, why is DOT not going to widen the shoulder down that way to provide a bike lane?
I am concerned that it will take a fatality to get a bike lane in. I see more and more people trying to bike that road during rush hour every year, and I am concerned someone is eventually going to be seriously hurt. |

| 9 | Leslie Montana | The current DOT plan should be "ditched" for one that is pedestrian and bike friendly. I can't believe they would even consider the multi-lane expansion. Carrboro/CH is not meant to be a drive-through community. Please do not go through with this plan. |

| 15 | Dick Ludington | It is very, very dangerous trying to get on to Smith Level Road from Ray Road. I have had many close calls with cars traveling at a high rate of speed going south on Smith Level Road. |

| 19 | Nancy Park | I am deeply upset that ALL of Smith Level is not in the plan for walking and biking. We are forced to use cars to get to town with this plan. I thought our goal was to REDUCE the need for individual auto use. |

| 30 | Martha Diefendorf | I drive on this road frequently and don't think widening it will be an improvement. |

| 34 | James Econopouly | I ride my bicycle up Smith Level to work every day and I think making it four lane would encourage drivers to speed which would make it more dangerous for bikes and pedestrians |

| 36 | Frances OHalloran | please consider this alternative to the proposed road improvement
i believe it truly is a safer way to restructure our road for the benefit of all.
thankyou |

| 38 | Mark Terry | There has to be a safer (for pedestrian and cyclists) alternative. |
