On July 30th 2015, the sport of swimming witnessed the age group phenomenon Josh Dow claim his 6th consecutive national title in the 50m backstroke. An unparalleled, unprecedented, unheard-of feat across any championship swim meet on this earth.

The Canadian swimming community has been jittery ever since, wondering if the boy-wonder could possibly win yet another consecutive title at the upcoming championships in Calgary, Alberta.

Unfortunately, Swimming Canada's rules don't allow athletes 19 years of age to compete in the Canadian Age Group Championships, meaning Josh won't get a chance to compete for the 7th title. This petition is requesting that another age group, a 19-year-old category, be added to the 50m backstroke event at this year's Canadian Age Group Championships.
