The schools are filled with students who just don't care. Many feel that their education doesn't teach them anything relevant to life. Service learning links the knowledge learned in the classroom, to an outside activity providing a service to others. It reinforces what students are learning with the CA Standards and teaches every student how they can make a difference in their community, state, country, and world.
