The petition

We had a meeting with the assistant superintendent of my 6th graders school (The Pottstown Middle School). My son who is 12 and another student were horse playing in the cafeteria during their activity period where he was being tutored after school. The teacher proceeded to put her hand in between the students to ask them to stop playing. When she did this my son who has never been to the principal's office or guidance counselor and is a honor student hit her on the wrist by accident. Every witness there agreed it was an accident including the teacher, principal and superintendent. The school district has decided to suspend my son for 10 days and an additional 45 days in an alternative school for children that are kicked out of school for continous disruptive behaviors, deliquents or criminal offenses. Please sign this petition so my son will not have to attend this alternative school.
