We are very excited that a group of local women Force 10 Hoops has secured an exclusive option to purchase the Seattle Storm so that the team can stay in Seattle. When the news was announced people all across the state cheered. Kids, grandparents, fans who never miss a game and even many who have never been to a game all reacted the same way this is great news for Seattle!
We are among the thousands of loyal Storm fans who will come together and support this team even more than we have before. We applaud the women of Force 10 Hoops for their commitment to our community. We know they appreciate what a special part of the fabric of the Pacific Northwest the Storm is and how the players exemplify what it means to be top notch athletes, wonderful citizens, and great role models.
We are all signing this letter to let you know the WNBA and the Storm can count on our unwavering support. Since the day of the announcement, season ticket holders and new fans alike have been showing their commitment by buying or renewing season tickets and buying ticket packages for the 2008 season. And, we plan to get all our friends, families and co-workers to help us pack the house on May 17 for Opening Night.
Thank you for supporting the new ownership group. We think Storm fans are the best in the League vote Yes and we will do the rest!

When I volunteered as a mentor for the YWCA Leaders In Progress program I witnessed the affect of Seattle Storm role models on young female athletes. The Storm keeps dreams alive in our youth. When I go to games I am suprised by the number of young boys in the audience in full Storm gear anxious for an autograph just like all the young girls.
