Save Musical Instruments in Columbus

To whom it may concern,
The students of CPS(Columbus Public Schools) would like to try to save the classes that emphasize instruments that will help us earn scholarships to attend college.These instruments include the oboe, bassoon, and string instruments. These are vital instruments in our education. These instruments mean alot to those who can not afford the payment of college. Many people who have begun to play these instruments have become very interested and want to accomplish and achieve what they can playing these significant instruments. We believe that those who do play or are involved in extra curricular activites, are the ones who want to do better in school, so that they can stay involved and go to college. It gives them something to strive for in their education.

This petition is targeted toward the superintendent and all of the columbus public school board of education. The people who are sponsoring this are all of the band teachers that will being cut from these particular intruments. Also the students that play them and other supporting band teachers.
