Oppose the Long Grove TIF District

The petition

I, the undersigned, oppose the downtown Long Grove TIF district that will:

... divert tax revenues from our schools, libraries, fire department, and other local taxing bodies for a minimum of 23 years

... result in a de facto property tax increase on residents of Long Grove, Buffalo Grove and neighboring communities to fund existing services

... make residents of Long Grove liable for the payment of TIF bonds issued by the Village to private developers to subsidize commercial development.
