| 209 | Anonymous | Accessible, local community resources are integral to developing and maintaining communities and the well being of the people within that community. At a time when the rise of obesity and incidence of diabetes is causing concern local government should not be considering the closure of a resource which plays such an important role in assisting people of all ages to improve and maintain their fitness. |

| 211 | Paul Daffey | There should be more pools, not less. The price of petrol means more will stay home this summer. Pools should be encouraged. |
| 212 | Margaret Geddes | The local swimming pool is a crucial part of the community, and will become more crucial in coming summers when water is in short supply and kids can't cool down under the hose in backyards. |

| 218 | Anonymous | THe pool must be opened. With the obesity crisis reaching a critical level in our communities, swimming and water activies are a must in helping reduce the level of obesity. As a community we have an obligation to help others and provide en evironment that encourages fun and excercise. |

| 220 | Kathy Sdrinis | It would be a crime against the community as a whole to close this pool. It's significance goes beyond the people of Coburg. |
| 221 | Donna Tairua | Save the coburg pool and stop reducing the facilities available to the community |

| 231 | Anonymous | We moved into the Pentridge estate area in Dec last year. I was thrilled with the idea of the pool over the road. Imagine my disappointment when I discovered it had been closed for 2 years... What a lost assesst.

| 238 | anne kennedy | A healthy affordable option for summer recreation..........when we were kids we'd make a day of i at our local pool.
Towel on the grass read a book and swim swim swim........less screen time and who knows .......may even have a few creative thoughts.
...and there's all sorts of not so good things like drugs and alcohol which could become alternate summer activities......lets look at the big picture ......pays for itself in the long run ay! |
| 239 | Anonymous | Once it's gone, we'll never get it back. We must preserve these simple community features, for all to enjoy, and not waste resources in unnecessary hi-tech, cahracter-less facilities which won't last decades Let's preserve history and simplicity. |

| 246 | sieglinde Hopkins | The Coburg outdoor pool is an incredibly important recreation space particularly for the teenagers of the area, as a group they are rarely considered it would seem --no high school at all in Coburg for years 7-10.Additionally the council's emphasis on high density development makes the provision of open space even more essential. |

| 248 | Christopher Shields | The pool is an essential community resource which should be kept open, and upgaded to current standards. Having a first class community pool will reduce the desire for people to install a pool in their property, thereby saving water and energy. |
