| 101 | Mathew Thomas | I support the need to keep Coburg Olympic outdoor pool open in Murray Road. The Moreland Council just need to spend a little bit more money on infrastructure (eg pool cracks) to ensure that facilities stay viable for an ever growing community. Pentridge Village development and Kodak site development will ensure that this pool would be well patronised into the future. The Moreland Council just need to bite the bullet occasionally and be forward thinking in their planning. The Moreland Council should not let some cost accountant sabotage what is a fantastic community asset, that it still very much viable, and would take heaps more money to rebuild 10 years down the track. The population is there to support the Olympic Pool in Murray Rd (near Outlook Rd) staying open. SO PLEASE KEEP IN OPEN, and stop being so tight! |

| 113 | Sunday Murphy | Please open our beloved pool. I can't tolerate another summer without it! We need a place to cool down on hot days. The pool is unique - located on the banks of the Merri Creek with ample shade, grassy areas and BBQ's - it's such an amazing asset for our community. We always walk or ride along the bike path and love to meet our friends there for picnics and family fun. Please, please give it back! |

| 119 | Diane Gardiner | The pool should be restored and maintained. A similar situation happened to the Fitzroy pool and it was saved by resident actions and is now a vital local resource. |
| 120 | Joanna Chalkley | Having recently moved into Coburg I am really impressed with the facilities at and around Coburg Lake. These facilities provide a valuable community resource and the Coburg Olympic Pool is one of those resources. The pool is a valuable community resource that should be maintained given the need for children and adults to exercise more. Residents can then utilise local services thereby extending and strengthening community networks, encouraging people to utilise sustainable modes of transport (i.e. walking or riding bikes) and maintaining resources in the local area. Maintaining the pool would also cut down on overcrowding at other community pools which is what occurs at present. |

| 124 | Linette Harriott | The Coburg Olympic Pool is an important community resource that should not be closed. By all means ADD to the number of these community facilities, but do not leave this pool closed and neglected or worse, demolished, for another Summer. |
| 125 | susan a allender | As a new family in Coburg, I see the pool as a vital place to meet other parents, and a safe and fun environment to be in in the long summer months. The Coburg part of Moreland does not seem to have many playgrounds/communal spaces especially for kids and their parents and this is a chance to get back an established site. |

In the boiling sun we want to have fun.
This is our pool , so Moreland council reopen the doors to the sound of splashing and loud applause.. |

| 140 | Alice Garner | I am concerned about the closure of community swimming pools around Melbourne. Swimming pools are essential community hubs, places where children and adults can get exercise, learn water survival skills, connect with others in their neighbourhood. They are worth spending money on. |

| 145 | nicky adams | I am a north coburg resident.
I used to live in collingwood and fitzroy and walked or cycled to swim 3 times a week ( winter and summer) in the outdoor pool there.
I now have a 2 year old and the Brunswick pool has been the only option on those hot summer days. However each time I have gone there the toddler pool has been closed. I also tried swimming lessons for my baby at the Coburg indoor pool. We were on the waiting list for 18 months.
The Coburg Pool is a unique draw card for the muncipality. It already has an unusual attraction with the park, lake locality. The demographic has changed in the last few years and those linked to the pool via the foot and bike paths are a growing number of young families. I see the reopening of the pool as a marvellous Council Asset. Council should use this asset to put Coburg on the map. I also see little happening on the Pentridge site which contributes to the Community, despite Pentridge adding some $5000 houses to Coburg.
At the moment pentridge has provided no public outdoor space.
Once Pentridge finalises its urban spaces and links through to the Lake the pool site will become even more popular. Perhaps an idea of gathering funds is to have the developers contributing to the development of such community assets.
I support the reopening of the Coburg Olympic Pool. |

| 149 | Norma Weir | I think that it is disgraceful that such an important facility is not functional. There are a lot of older people in the area who are not able to travel to other sites. Given that exercise is important for older people too, I believe that this important facility is re opened |
