I sure that it has become a "money" issue. Have the viewers indirectly been the kiss of death?? IC can actually make more money, per episode, editing the show and selling it ( in reruns) to channels like LOGO etc. If that is her desire , we must let her know that those of us who have made the show what it is, will not watch re-runs. My canceling my "premium" service for 1 year will cost Direct TV $480.00....... Contact your cable company or satellite company and put yourself in the drivers seat...... Money talks louder than words. |

Is is to make more room for The Tudors that you shove commercials down our throats during every episode and then at least twice every commercial break? This is the only show like this anywhere and look at all the positive things that have come out of this show for example OurChart and all the L conventions and so much more, you have brought our community together. I know this is going to sound crazy, but this show has made me less afraid to be who I really am and I'm not ready for my inspiration to be gone! At least if it's only going to be one more season, make it a full season and not slap all your loyal L Word fans in the face with this short season malarky! |

My daughter is gay, so I speak for both sides when I say that this show has taught us, the parents of gay and lesbian children that this have rights too. This show has helped many parents realize that their kids can lead normal respectable lives. I hope that I am not offending anyone in the gay community by what I am trying to say. These ladies and gentlemen have so little on tv that truely reflect their lives. This show is so accurate, they really can relate to the characters and subject matter. Please dont take this show from any of us. I am sure there are at least 2 to 3 more seasons worth of storyline. I hope that you will rethink the cancellation of such a wonderful show. We have shown our support throughout the seasons and the ratings increase each seasons. There are no excuses why the L-word should be taken off the air. Why is it so important to remove one good show from your line up? Does not make sense. The complications, the unwelcomed looks, everything that goes along with a life that society doesn't readily accept. But it also shows that when you love someone, you love them for who they are. That upon coming out you may be accepted or rejected but you have to be true to who you are to yourself. Life isn't easy but sometimes the hard times are worth it. Shows of the heterosexual nature aren't canceled as much as those of a homosexual nature. There is nothing to be ashamed of when you are being who you are. Please, consider how many people this show has helped and comforted. Thank you for your time and consideration on the matter. I hope that you are able to continue with the L word.
