Gareth | Warren | | UK | These nuts we have running our goverment seem to think they can use the army and cut it back. Getting rid of a couple of hundred spivs and fraudsters that work as MP's would give far better savings.

Graham | Saunders | | UK |
Richard | Lawrence | | UK | As I am a TA officer in a unit which is affiliated to the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, it is with a lack of forsight that the Government is considering cutting the Roayl Regiment of Fusiliers. I have sent some of my soldiers to the Gulf and they have served with distinction. They have given up family life, put their civilian careers on hold and some have come back with injuries. What message does this give them? If they aren't supported to the maximum effort then they will not serve. The Regular Arm will not be able to function and the Government will not be able to carry out its role as a 'force for good.'

James | Cannon | PA | US | It has been my great honor to know many members of this regiment. The entire civilized world needs more security, not less.
| 83 | Buck | Buchanan | CA | US | As a former member of the 3rd Special Forces group, I think that the dissolution of the unit reeks of politics versus the reality of the world climate in 2004/2005.

Jay | Smith | | UK | An absolute Farce. Stick to your guns lads, nobody wants to see a QD Regt go!!
Mark | Ludlow | | | The RRF has been one of the real success storys of the 'Large Regiment' concept. The loss of the 2nd Bn willmake it unviable, and force its merger with one of the other regiments of the Queens Div, who will in turn lose there distinct charachter and identity. If ECAB really feel that the future lies in large regiments, then those that have made a go of it should be suported. finaly, wearing the distinctive 'Hackle' makes the Regt one of the few remaining English regts of 'colour'. There loss would be a national loss, as well as the end of over 300 hundred years of the fusilier tradition in the army of the United Kingdom.
Anthony | Harris | | UK | This is a total disgrace flying in the face of what we are ordered to provide. Do we get charged with failure to obey an order

paul | blackmore | | UK |
Norman | Dunbar | | UK | This is a smokescreen to avoid confrontatoin with the scots over the Black watch question. The Fusiliers are the biggest recruiters in the army, what does that tell you.
Terence | Heweson | | |
Jim | Landon | | UK | The middle of a war is no time to cut the infantry.
