The petition

Dear Business Owners and Townspeople,

We are asking for a show of support in the matter of the State of New York replacing the James A. Farley Bridge. The state plans on taking property from either east of west side of the bridge for reconstruction. The reconstruction of the bridge will make it much wider than it is now. The Town of Stony Point is not a large town and cannot afford to lose any established businesses or tax paying properties.

We are asking for your signature in a show of suppport for the state to consider replacing the existing brige and foregoing any hardships or displacement to any business or resident of Stony Point.

There will be a PUBLIC HEARING, sponsored by the NYS DOT at the James A. Farley Middle School on June 20, 2007 (7pm - 9pm). Where oral and written statements will be accepted.
