As a student you agonize over your marks, your friends, family and your general well being. Growing up I played outdoors a lot and always loved every aspect of nature. A huge concern of mine at twelve years old was global warming. To my dismay I thought that most grown ups would have the same fear as I did, where our world slowly turn to a pool of melted icecaps. I found out during time gone by that average person doesn’t really let it bother them. When did human nature allow us to destroy the one thing we were freely given? Life on Earth. Over the years, nuclear testing has added to the emissions of green house gasses. Not only have those emissions hurt out planet but the people living in it. Multiple cases of deformities amongst people who live or worked close to a nuclear power plant or we affects by a nuclear weapons or bombs are commonly dispersed into our population. These issues seem too burry themselves with a blind eye are those decisions us as humans made, and us as humans can stop. I would like to imagine my grand children playing in the clean environment without having to worry about contamination of radioactive substances; but it’s hard to say if we’ll ever see that day. We started it and now its time to take a step back and way out the pros and cons, the only way for human survival for another 100 years is sacrifice. Don’t let our children pay the prices for the mistakes of our ancestors. Take a stand today!
