From the Undersigned people to the King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia
Assalamu Alaikum:
We, the undersigned, respectfully request that the Saudi government not demolish the library which currently stands at the birthplace of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him.
Instead, we ask that the Saudi government preserve the library by expanding it. The aim is to make it the institution with the best collection worldwide of multilingual information about all of God’s Prophets, from Adam to Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon them all.
Past Saudi kings have not only protected the centuries-old library, but expanded it by constructing around it. They have also allowed the public open access, despite the fact that the building now stands oddly in the midst of a large cement parking lot.
We believe that you will honor our request, Insha Allah.
JazakAllahu Khairan for your time and attention. |
