This is a petition was made to persuade the advisors of the Hillsborough High School Ramrod yearbook to NOT make any remarkable changes to the Senior section.
Starting in the 2003-2004 school year, there will be a DRASTIC REDUCTION in the Senior Superlatives [more affectionately known as the Polls], and there will be no more Senior Write-ups as the students know them.
The "Write-ups" will consist of 4 lines [or less] of activities, nicknames or quotes, NO MEMORIES!! This change will affect all following years. It is also VERY LIKELY that there will be EVEN MORE REDUCTIONS or COMPLETE ELIMINATION of the Polls and Write-ups.
So far the yearbook advisors have eliminated the Senior group picture and several of the memories pages at the
end of the senior section.
The reasons for these changes are as follows:
1. The yearbook is running out of room to accomodate the expanding population of the school.
2. In order to keep the senior section the same, the cost of the yearbook may go up as much as $20 in the next few years to supply the cost of added pages.
3. The faces in the senior group picture are usually indistinguishable and "no one looks at it anyway."
