| 970 | Amanda Klinger | They have done the same thing at the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, my alma mater. The chancellor there claims the same thing as your dean did for #1, that it didn't fit into their Standards of Excellence, even though it clearly does, and also complained about small enrollment. We sent letters, appealled the vote with the Wisconsin Board of Regents, and went through the Lieutenant governor of Wisconsin, to no avail. They claim that universities are there own entity and make their own decisions. I don't wish to discourage you, only to encourage you to try every route possible. |

| 973 | Nicole Martinez | I am very upset and sad that is happening. I have been planning to go to Chapman for 3 years now to be taking Music Therapy. And I was so close into going this Fall. But when I heard the news about this happening...I couldn't believe it, and I was crushed. Please do something. |
| 974 | Darcy Lipscomb | I just completed the music therapy program at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC and I am starting my internship in a month. To pursue my dream of being a music therapist, I was forced to attend an out-of-state school as my home state did not offer music therapy. I know that there are 2 other schools in CA that offer music therapy, so the situation is somewhat different. Since music therapy is still an up-and-coming field, it is important that universities not only keep their music therapy programs but assist in the development of new programs at other universities. One thing that I loved about the program here at ASU is the intimate size. Small enrollment is a good thing as music therapist needs personal hands on instruction and experience to provide the best services possible. Every time I hear of another university eliminating their music therapy program, I am deeply saddened and cannot imagine my life without the MT program here as ASU! Please reconsider your decision. |

Your vision and model should embrace this program. |

| 989 | Susan Elliott | It 's a shame to eliminate a program that trains people to make such a positive contribution to our society. |

| 992 | Rodney Dong, MT-BC | I firmly believe that Chapman University's Music Therapy program is vital to the music therapy community in California, and needs to be preserved and supported. The notion that the program should be closed is a tragic error, and would be harmful to the profession and to the clients and organizations who would suffer from an increased shortage of Music Therapists. |

They are wonderful music threapits/interns and are providing great services to our clients. Please do not close the music threapy program at Chapman University so there will be more people who wil have chances to benefit from music threapy services in Southern California. |
