Dear Mark Scharfman, landlord for Le Madeleine ;

Le Madeleine has been an important anchor of the West 43rd St. / Hell’s Kitchen community for 27 years, and we strongly urge you to reconsider your eviction plans and continue the existing 12 year lease agreement with Le Madeleine. It should not be destroyed by demolition, nor should it be a victim of any development plans you have for this neighborhood. This restaurant stands out as a proud part of your property portfolio and should be allowed to continue to be of service to the community into the foreseeable future.

151 John PaulRosasLos AngelesLe Madeleine is a landmark and it should stand for years!!!
152 HowardPinskyMansfieldOutraged at this obviously illegal action. Le madeline is one of the great sites of NYC.
153 KentSweeneyNew YorkPlease, save Le Madeleine. It's been a part of our city for ages and long before the gentrification sharks started rebuilding, Le Madeleine was there, forging a new calm in a tough area. When I lived on 37 and 9th, this restaurant was an oasis throughout starting for me in the mid 1980's. Le Madeleine is a fine establishment and a rock in the area. Don't KILL IT. Please understand how loved this place is. Thanks.
154 IngridFoxRidgewoodCallow thinking Mark Scharfman. The area is becoming over-developed, and there is already, plenty of bad new architecture. Ingrid Fox

178 DonMooreSaugertiesThe character of a city depends on institutions just like LeMadeleine. There is little profit to the City in attempting to destroy it, particularly when that injustice is compounded by attempting to circumvent the law.
