Dear Mark Scharfman, landlord for Le Madeleine ;

Le Madeleine has been an important anchor of the West 43rd St. / Hell’s Kitchen community for 27 years, and we strongly urge you to reconsider your eviction plans and continue the existing 12 year lease agreement with Le Madeleine. It should not be destroyed by demolition, nor should it be a victim of any development plans you have for this neighborhood. This restaurant stands out as a proud part of your property portfolio and should be allowed to continue to be of service to the community into the foreseeable future.

6 KerstinAumannNew YorkPlease do not evict Le Madeleine. Not only is it a wonderful restaurant (in my opinion one of the best in the city), but its space is very unique and charming. I cannot imagine my neighborhood without this restaurant.

10 EllaBoyleStudio CityWhen I used to live in New York City, up till 1989, I visited Le Madelaine often. Whenever I go back for a visit, I stop by and meet my friends for a meal. It would be sad to see it go. Please revise your current plan and save this establishment of unique charm.

18 LaurenceKluskyWhite PlainsPutting aside the fact that Le Madeleine is a fabulous restaurant, enough reason for keeping it, it is als a beautiful space in the growing Disneyfying of the city. We don't need another chain restaurant in a cookie cutter box.
19 HeliceKofflerNew YorkLe Madeleine is a valued part of the community. The restaurant must not be allowed to become yet another victim of a developer's unbridled greed.
20 MichaelBrophyStaatsburgLe Madeleine has become one of my favorite stops for a drink or a meal when visiting NYC. Please keep in mind not everything is about money.
21 CynthiaBilderGreat BarringtonWe come to Manhattan often and Le Madeleine is an important part of every trip. We have many friends who also look forward to visiting this fabulous landmark of a restaurant, and we all believe that it should stay. It is svery short sighted to not include Le Madeleine in your plans.

29 susanneschnitzernew yorkWe as neighbors and visitors do not need any more development which has in the past ie Alps Pharmacy changed the nature of the environ. We cherish our places to be convial and have a strong opposition to "santify-/homogeneity" Please accept this as part of a community member for 30+ yrs as well as the tourists.
