303 AnonymousPlease do not make this wonderful program "just an elective" or treated as such. It is a major in and of its self. There is the Enameling Society of America, which holds annual conferences through out the United States. To have such an organization and have so many members....it must be kept separate!!! You will losing ANOTHER gem!! (the 5 year program was the first!)
304 elara colemanIt seems crazy to elliminate a program that is so unique. It is one element that made CIA stand out. The skills that are taught there will not be passed along once it is absorbed my the metals dept. It will be reduced to a side note. This is a sad thing and the loss of many educational oppurtunities.
305 James FloodWithout the gifted efforts of Sharron Kree, a CIA graduate, Bovano of Cheshire would not be operating today. Through her design skills and enameling techniques, Bovano has thrived as an independent studio employing hundreds of people over the span of more than 30 years. I urge you not to dismantle this important school of study at a time of resurging dedication and interest in enamels across the USA and around the world. Sincerely, James Flood President Bovano of Cheshire

308 Catherine ButlerI am extremely disheartened by the direction the Institute is taking. I feel it is abandoning its legacy and the core values and practices that enticed me to pursue my studies there and which gave me a strong foundation on which to build my own work.
