| 22 | Nigel Howarth | I'm afraid this kind of thing happens all over Cyprus - why the authorities refuse to act to stop illegal construction is beyond me.
I'll promote your petition on my website at http://www.news.cyprus-property-buyers.com
Hopefully it will bring you more support and I wish you every success. |

| 26 | Julie Pinfold | Give Cyprus back to those of us who enjoy & appreciate the peace, tranquility & people. Perhaps we may even see & hear an end to the disgraceful foul language heard eminating from surface craft in the area but I fear not |
| 27 | Anonymous | No development on the beaches is the correct policy, unauthorised development should be clamped down on instantly
A beautiful island is being spoiled by greed, usually by those who already have more money than they know what to do with |

| 32 | erini | it is time to put our money where our mouth is and start looking after Cyprus. |
| 33 | Ioannis Ioannou | more destruction of our natural heritage due to greed and moneygrubbing. shame on us. |
| 34 | Ionas | This is outrageous! Stop the destruction of Cyprus now.
What kind of tourists do you want to visit the island? Pigs who litter, who are drunk and abusive? Or decent people keeping themselves and their surroundings tidy?
I love Cyprus. When I visit Cyprus I treat the island and its inhabitants as if I was a Cypriot myself. When I used to live in Larnaca some 24-27 years ago things were quite different from now. Ayia Napa, Fig Tree Bay... it's such a shame what has happened. Of course people want to 'make a quick buck' on tourists. That's fine by me. But do it with class and be smart about it. Quick and dirty solutions will only render quick money for a short time. Then you will realise that you would've been better off taking the most ethical course as far as constructions, development and landscape planning goes.
I will not stand for this and allow my Cyprus to become spoiled and undermined like this any longer. For the well being of the resident Cypriots I kindly ask you to think twice and then once again before you destroy the beauty of Cyprus.
If the pier in question is built illegally I'd say the problem is easy to solve. Bring it down. Now! Then send the 'private individuals' to jail to think things over. If they're not Cypriot citizens you might just as well deport them! For life! |

| 38 | Anonymous | More and more of our once beautiful coastline being spoilt in the interests of commerce. Soon there will be nothing left for Cypriots and tourists alike...what then? Who will we blame ?? |

| 44 | Janet Crossley | Cyprus must preserve it's beautiful coastline at all costs. |
| 45 | Victoria Michaelides | This is atrocious! |
| 46 | Anonymous | Too many 'brown envelopes' in this country!!! |

| 48 | Roseanne Sherman | This is an outrageous disregard for building regulations and environmental impact laws. The pier must be removed and the builders should be fined and required to restore the area to its original condition. |
| 49 | Anonymous | As a cypriot abroad I watch with horror every time I visit my country the over-development of the coast line. No more building please. |
