| 102 | Gari Wetton | It doesn't surprise me in today's society where we are having such issues with the children of today that this is happening. It is important to encourage children of all ages to attend events out of school hours and keep them of the streets. Unfotunatley, our councils/government are so tied up with there own problems and making money, they doen't care about how bad society in our country has got. |

| 107 | Anonymous | Children need places to meet & be able to engage in great activities. It is part of the duty of a council to support this. Give them a scout hut. |
| 108 | marie jeffery | GUides and scouts provide a safe fun space for all children. |
| 109 | Bren Bailey | please keep this scout group running not just for the children of today but for the adults of tomorrow |

| 112 | ruthb dundas | young children get to much bad press what are you doing to help these 100 members of the scout assocation will you just turn them out to roam the country side come on Brentwood council how many of you council were members of scouts /guides |
| 113 | Becky Fulton | only been ther once but have had alot of dealings with the youth club there. Whats the point of knocking it down when it's helping the communitee. haven't they thought about the increase of complaints they are gonig to have from the residents because the kids will have no where to go and will proberly be on the streets. |
| 114 | Tamara | I do hope you re-think this one. |

| 116 | Esme Smith | You must have alternative options or locations you can choose. The young children of today desperately need both the Scouting and Guiding movements to continue and grow in order for them to mature in a responsible, respectable manner. There are far too little organized groups anymore which encourage our young folks to learn worthwhile skills. Please reconsider your options carefully. |

| 120 | sally wallis | At least when the kids are at scouts and guides they're doing something constructive, not hanging around street corners. Is Brewood Council really so shortsighted? |

| 123 | Stepen Campbell | You cannot destroy years of history in a community giving people in scouting no where else to go. Many people benefit from scouting and is important to the local cmmunity. |
| 124 | G WARWOOD | THIS IS OUTRAGOUS. THE COUNCIL SHOULD BE TOTALLY ASHAMED OF EVEN THINKING OF SUCH A PROPOSAL.
YOU SHOULD BUILD ON 'BROWN FIELD SITES'.
BREWOOD SCOUT HUT IS FOR THE COMMUNITY AND THE COUCIL SHOULD SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY. |

| 129 | Alan Dale | Yet another piece of evidence that it is not young people who are the problems in our society.
That a council treats it's local youngsters with such contempt is proof positive it's the politicians who present the biggest threat to community life. |

| 131 | Anonymous | so little for youth so much for council greed No future for the youth of years to come
dont demolish INVEST IMPROVE |
| 132 | Emma Marshall | The Scout hut should be kept, scouting and guiding provides young people with many opportunities for fun and friendship, and helps promote positive values. Facilities for children including youth organisations should be a priority for local councils, to keep them off the streets and to encourage healthy lifestyles. Children need good role models as they grow up. People feel the benefits from being a scout or guide years later, and their memories last forever. |
| 133 | Steve barker - GSL | Keep scouting Alive |
| 134 | Declan Eoghan | So sorry to hear of your plight. We have faced the same ourselves - scout huts are a cheap source of income for local councils consumed by the greed of potential land development. You'll get all the normal lies of "we'll find you somewhere else" Im afraid but as soon as that permission is passed they forget the voluntary, worthwhile groups and communities they promise to help in their manifestos, all very well when they are looking for support and votes. Fight them now. Laugh is, I bet most of them were scouts themselves! |

| 136 | Jessica Brookes | Children need Guiding and Scouting, it is challenging. Our Church hall closed & units had to close. |
| 137 | Anonymous | Scouting should come before a few people's profiteering on building housing. Don't give permission for housing development without agreement to provide land and building for community use. |

| 142 | Heather | Why take these places away? Unbelievable. |
| 143 | James Hancher | I think this is a total disgrace, and the fact that the last thing Brewood needs is another set of five bedroom detached homes compared to an environment where children can (and have been in the past) taught morales and kept from having to resort to the behaviour that so many people are keen to label them with. |
| 144 | Vicky Green | Brewood Scout Hut has been the central focus for Scouting and Guiding activities for years. We are always reading in the news about the 'youth of today' causing trouble and behaving badly. I used to attend both Brownies and Guides at the Scout Hut. Such activities teaches kids how to behave well, learn new skills and most importantly respect and input to their Community. Without the hut, boys and girls in the village will be left with no productive and worthwhile activities to do. There are already too many houses being built in the village as it is, let alone having even more built at the expense of the Scout hut!!! The hut has always been a symbol of community spirit and should definately be saved. |
| 145 | Amanda | Save the hut!!! What are the council thinking??? |
