| 401 | Tom Philips | Autopatcher organizes the fragmented process of trying to update people's computers via micro$oft. Their process is a mess and often fails on other people's dialup connections. This costs them tech. support money and often leaves them with old unpatched vulnerable systems. Autopatcher should be allowed to continue, or Linux will do tip micro$oft into the bit bucket. |

| 407 | Anonymous | AutoPatcher is a great program. |
| 408 | Rick Campbell | If AutoPatcher will let me update my son's windows 98SE computer, then i feel Microsoft OWES it to us.
M$ needs to stop monopolizing the WHO, WHAT,
WHERE and WHEN to updating !!! |

| 410 | Philip Bannor | I believe that Microsoft is afraid of losing money due to users using AutoPatcher - this is what this whole thing is about: money! I can't see HOW they may be losing money, seeing as AutoPatcher is FREE! Seeing as this is not in fact the case, they should not impose their will on the producers of AutoPatcher! I hope reason prevails, and AutoPatcher can continue again without let or hindrance! |
| 411 | Angelo | With AP i can update my computer easily everytime i have to re-install Windows on my computer after a computer format. why do i have to connect my computer to the net to update my MS Windows and expose it to the internet's dangers when i know that my pc is not protected since the re-installed and clean MS Windows has many known and dangerous bugs? We cannot accept this!! I want my computer to be as much secure as i can, and to connect it to the net right after the installation and keep it online and not protected FOR LONG TIME (since the big number of updates we have to download to be secure), it's not a good first step to do it! |
| 412 | Anonymous | I think that AutoPatcher should be re-allowed by MS. Damn the man. |
| 413 | jtdoom | I got an MVP award, and used autopatcher a few times. I am still buggering them to get out an XP tool doing the same, without the issues of autopatcher. Oh, MSFT will call it SP3. But for the POST SP3 hotfixes, there won't be a AP tool by MSFT. I will bug them. MSFT wants to have control over the quality and content. They have servers to burn, and probably forget that disc installed, or RIS images could be pr-patched more easily if they have something akin to AP. Until the time they have it, I want AP back. |

| 421 | Pandu E Poluan | AutoPatcher is actually a great boon to Microsoft. By using AutoPatcher, I can be sure that a system I am installing is secure *before* it connects to the Internet.
By shutting down AutoPatcher site, Microsoft inadvertently shot itself in the foot, as now Windows installation must connect to the Internet to download multimegabytes of update *while* it was not secure.
Microsoft, please be reasonable. If you again permit AutoPatcher, and even do some promotion on their behalf, people will love you. |

| 423 | C Burrage | Autopatcher complements the Windows update system. If you don't want a third party doing it, buy him out and do it yourselves. |
| 424 | Joe Whitehead | It would be not so bad if MS offered a tool to do an automatic patch to your source files and burn a bootable CD much like Windows Update does to a working system... At the least, it would help recovery from the broken XP WU stealth patch scandal. We really need this tool, because of all the broken systems coming in after that patch! The timing is just sad.
Slipstreaming is great for an entire service pack but is a royal pain for as many as 100 files that have to be patched in the right order. |

| 426 | Gayan Gunasekara | This has helped me a lot as i'm a system engineer and i'v to do a lot of maintenance jobs. this's a must for all who live in the IT industry.
