The petition


We the people of Lane County demand that if the Board of County Commissioners votes to fund LCAS at all, it is with full funding, full staffing and full implementation of the Save Adoptable and Treatable Animals Task force report.

We further demand full transparency, full accountability and especially demand that both staff and animals are treated humanely. Anything less is not acceptable.

This petition is sponsored by a group of Lane County Citizens who do not want to see Lane County Animal Services (LCAS) return to the catch & kill, inhumane shelter of the recent past, and would rather LCAS closed than become a certain death sentence for animals that enter.
