I am absolutely APPALLED at the fact that you have banned the Salvation Army from the sidewalks of Target stores. Yes, I did read the bit about Target Corporation’s Position on Solicitation at Stores. All that tells me is that your company is more interested in MAKING MONEY than you are in helping with charitable organizations. The Salvation Army has become synonomys with Christmas. Every year they accept DONATIONS for people that are less fortunate that yourself. You say that you are interested in helping others, yet you kick the Salvation Army off your sidewalks at the time of year that is the TIME OF GIVING. I certainly hope that all the BILLIONS of dollars that your company makes ALL YEAR helps you sleep at night knowing that you are REFUSING to help out at the most needy time of all. With this said, I am starting a petition and boycotting ALL Target stores and asking everyone that I know to do the same until you wake up and realize what Christmas is all about and allow the Salvation Army to continue helping others at this time in the future. By the way, you will be interested to know that Wal-Mart stated on the news last night that they will MATCH up to $1,000,000.00 to the Salvation Army. I guess all my money will start going to them 100% from now on! |

You can go to the Target website at www.target.com and click on the link for "Commitment to giving Fundraising Policy at our stores". This tells you what their stand is on the issue. As I said above, it sounds to me like they are more interested in making money than anything else.
