| 163 | Ann Wardlow | We live in Beverly, Massachusetts, and we can see the smoke spewing from the Salem plant and dissipating over Salem and neighboring towns like ours. This should not be acceptable because of danger to so many of us. Focus on alternative fuel sources must be a priority, not only for us, but also for our children. I hope you agree. |

| 168 | eric gurgo | I agree with the shutdown of the Dominion power plant. However, the company does provide financial benefits to the city of Salem; therefore a quick shutdown with no immediate plans to begin work on the site would negatively impact the city financially. I would also recommend that redevelopment of the site be contracted to local (i.e. Salem) developers to ensure transparency on city tax revenue and employment.
A redeveloped harbor that is technologically advanced and pedestrian friendly will not only support the Salem’s “live, work and play” vision, but will also catch the attention of regional and global travelers to visit and enjoy one of New England’s most historic waterfronts.
Change comes with pain. However, if the proper planning is established, the long-term benefits far outweigh the short-term pain.
I strongly support the redevelopment of the Dominion power plant.
Respectfully,
Eric Gurgo |

| 181 | Julia Bethmann | Please vote to close the power plant. This is an embarrassment to Salem, a city facing such great revival, to have the most valuable shoreline occupied by this polluter. Our children and their children deserve to enjoy the shoreline! |
