| 6 | Jonathan Keefe | We can do better! |
| 7 | Frank Kashner | There's black dirt on my window sills. What do my lungs look like? How can a plant be "grandfathered" to allow them to kill people? Maybe it should be called "deadgrandfathered"? |
| 8 | Melissa Vacon | Please shut down the power plant in Salem. It's old, unsafe, outdated, and toxic to the residents of Salem. Beyond that, we should think about the affect on the environment. Wind or solar power should be what we move forward with. |

| 14 | Elizabeth Parker | PLEASE shut the plant. Let me know what I can do. We live directly across from it and would love to see it go! |

| 17 | Middleboro Review | Beyond the environmental degradation created in Salem is the vast devastation created by MOUNTAINTOP REMOVAL. This is a prime opportunity to stop DIRTY COAL, improve the Massachusetts environment, and reduce what Big Coal is doing to our lands. I support your efforts and hope you will oppose DIRTY COAL where ever it exists.

| 19 | Morgan Evans | Thanks for working so hard, but what would the power generated by the plant be replaced with? Solar, wind, and ocean currents, I hope! -:) |
| 20 | Lisa Abbate | Governor Patrick, please don't let us down. Salem and the nation deserve better. Join us in our vision for a world-class North Shore. Help close this abomination and stand with us. |

| 27 | Douglas Snadecki | Let's get this awful plant closed! We can lead the way to a Green Massachusetts... |
| 28 | Mark McDonough | We operated fine for six months without the plant during the OSHA investigation of the November explosion and alternative sources
of power are readily available. |
| 29 | Lorraine Gadala | I have lived in Salem all my life and I am tired of watching all the family die from cancer. Please close this plant now. |
| 30 | Anonymous | I have read the information and am convinced that this plant should not reopen. As a family, we have focused on reducing our household energy consumption this summer and we have foregone taking a vacation to do so. Each of us has taken part in addressing seasonal issues to reduce summer solar gain and winter heat loss. We increased attic insulation, added weatherstripping, changed the lightbulbs, insulated drapes, purchased 2 new energy efficient appliances and paid the premium to buy the most energy efficient available. We'll have solar hot water by the Fall. We're willing to take whatever steps are necessary to reduce coal burning and environmental contamination in this country. This has really struck a chord with us. We hope others are as well. |

| 35 | Nick Lewis | The power plant has a major negative social impact on the surrounding towns and a new vision and development of the site could bring much more to the entire region, not just Salem. |

| 45 | Katherine Blazo | As a Salem resident, civil engineer, and mother of a toddler, I have joined in supporting the closing of this plant. To sugarcoat the egregious dangers that this plant subjects our children to is insulting. The only reason that I see to keep this plant open is purely as a profit engine for Dominion whose benefactors I would guess would not even want to live near this site. |
