Recently the Hefler Lumber mill located at "239C Lucasville Rd, Middle Sackville NS" started the operation of a combined heat and power system fueled by mill waste. This project, approved in 2013, is creating a uninhabitable environment for the residents of Middle Sackville Nova Scotia. I measured 80dB noise level in the back yard around Claudia Crescent. For reference in some areas companies are required to provide hearing protection for employees exposed to this amount of noise on a regular basis.
